Distilled in 2008 from molasses using a pot still, this rum aged for 12 years before being bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 56.1%. With only 323 bottles available, this rum presents a unique and sought-after experience. Users have noted a pleasant aroma of banana, solvents, oak, coconut, and raisin. Nice and fruity nose with rubber and varnish with a touch of wood. The palate matches pretty well with the nose. Slightly more wood and a light touch of chocolate and caramel. The finish is long and woody with chocolate and raisins.

Very likable jamaican from V&M. I like the phenomenal start in the nose. It’s lacks a bit in mouth and in the finish. Alcohol could be integrated better. Nose: delicious, complex, vanilla, oak, spicy, clove, solvents, rubber, glue, fruity, banana, citrus, peaches, cherry, overripe fruits, apricot Mouth: dry, creamy, funky, delicious, full bodied, balanced, woody, coffee, dark chocolate, smoky, spicy, clove, roasted, oak, papaya, mango Finish: long, dry, astringend, elegant, mocha, smoky, oak(woody), vanilla, dark chocolate, tannins, overriped bananas, burnt sugar, some notes of black tea, later on you’ll find some notes of honeycomb

Nez surprenant. Des solvants et de la banane, plutôt classique. Mais un profil vanillé et un boisé très présent moins habituels. En bouche, le bois est très présent. Rhum puissant, un bois dur et une lourdeur que vient adoucir une mangue bien mure. Puis des notes sombres de café et chocolat noir. Finale sur le café, la vanille, les esters. Sympa car différent de ce que je connaissais. Étonnement brûlant. Alcool un peu trop présent. Dommage. Édit : goûté au RhumFest et j'ai moins eu cette impression. Le palais devait être plus habitué... Édit 2: première impression confirmée. Finale in poil trop amère. Le bois est très présent.

Lässt mich etwas ratlos zurück. Die Nase ist jung, fruchtig, zugänglich mit eher leichter, vanilliger Fassnuance. Der Mund dann zu unbalanciert, adstringent viel Holz und dazu eine recht saure eher unreife Fruchtigkeit. Das will sogar nicht zum angenehm leichten Einstieg passen. Im Abgang nochmal ein mentholiger Frischekick. Die Nase ist einfach, aber schön, dann geht es drunter und drüber. In ein paar Jahren vielleicht ein interessanter Batch.

Nicht der beste Clarendon, aber ein gelungener Vertreter des Stils. Deutliche Röstnoten vom Fass, dazu Fruchtester und medizinische Anklänge.

Am der Nase Kokosnuss, rote Früchte, Gewürze und Holz, am Gaumen die volle Ladung Tannine, die leider die anderen Noten und den Abgang etwas überlagern.

Die Nase ist klasse und verändert sich von Minute zu Minute…das fühlt sich vielversprechend an.. am Gaumen dann leicht nur über Durchschnitt, ebenso wie der Abgang

Le nez est génial.. Par contre en bouche c'est moins funky qu'un jam traditionnel.. Mais ca reste très bon malgré ce côté sec.. J'ai bien aimé tout de même
