Habitation Velier Hampden LROK 2010
Highly praised cask‑strength Hampden: intensely fruity, funky and spicy with well‑regarded complexity and a very long finish, especially rewarding after airing or with a few drops of water.
Seasoned enthusiasts who enjoy high‑ester Jamaican funk at full proof, love intense pineapple‑banana fruit with spicy oak, and don’t mind giving a rum time to open up or adding water.

How does this rum taste?
Intense fruity Hampden funk bomb
If you already enjoy Hampden or other high‑ester Jamaicans, this takes those tropical fruit and funk notes up a notch at full proof—demanding, but incredibly rewarding once it’s aired a bit.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV or sharp alcohol, and drinkers who prefer softer, sweeter 40% rums with minimal funk or wood‑spice influence.

Excellent! one of my favorite hampden. It's really elegant, you don't feel the 67°, it's so well made!
A world of difference between the opening of the bottle and four months later. A hard, alcoholic rum turns into a still strong, but very fruity rum with a very well integrated wood. A little bit of water softens the nose, reveals even more fruit and brings out a slight smokiness. A very nice surprise and a delicious rum! A remarkable rum raisin finish. Re-tasted and even better.
Welcome to Jamaica! In the nose coconut, pineapple , banana, spicy and lovely ester notes. In mouth it‘s starts with a bitter taste than it delivers the classic funky note with fruit basket, anise, ester… The finish is dry, woody with notes of ester, chocolate anise and tannins. Very very delicious rum. It‘s complex and spicy, so give it some time to fully open. You could add some water for sure (2-3 drops)
