This Jamaican pot still rum at ABV 57% is a blend of distillates from Hampden, Worthy Park and Monymusk. It’s aged in former bourbon barrels. The color is deep amber with a little help from added color otherwise there’s no flavoring additives. The finish is rather long and it’s very dry in the very end. Overall a well balanced full bodied Jamaican rum without being extremely heavy with taste of esters.
Molasses is what I smell. My wife, raisins. I am still working out the flavors. The 11 various pots might be a few too many, as I’m not quite there on the taste.
Nice surprise! Fruity, woody, coffee and seems to me a slight roastiness. Alcohol not integrated as well as it could be.
So I must say that he has not really appealed to me pure, but in the CubaLibre I find him not so bad. But there are also better for it. This has so just managed the hurdle over the 7ner mark.
