The Wild Parrot DDL Guyana from PM Still 1999
Highly regarded as a textbook PM: dry, woody and medicinal with citrus and licorice complexity. Well-made and characterful, though more steady than mind-blowing for many reviewers.
Fans of PM/Demerara rums who enjoy dry, woody, slightly medicinal profiles at cask strength and want a classic, no-additive expression with subtle complexity over sweetness.

Textbook Port Mourant profile
If you enjoy traditional Port Mourant dryness, wood and medicinal notes, this is a reliable pick—just don’t expect the most complex or best-value PM on the market.
Beginners, sweetness-seekers, and buyers wanting a loud, ultra-complex or great value Guyanese; some find it too dry, thin and expensive for the experience.

Actually, the 99 vintage is one of my favorites among the PMs. This one is rather weak compared to the others, tastes a bit thin, clearly lacks complexity, at the same time there is a slight woody off note.
Typical PM profile. I lack a little the element of surprise that would justify the called price. Not a bad rum, but m.E. no highlight.
one of the most disappointing PM, especially when it comes to tropical aging. Whether it's a dark, heavy type, or a pure, sweet type, this one is incomplete, the thick, oily body is not necessary, but its flavor is too thin. Under the premise of lacking flavor, the only flavor left is not coherent.
