How does this rum taste?
RumX members love this vivid, floral-herbaceous agricole from Guadeloupe’s Poisson distillery: pear and orange over caramel, anise and peppery oak, with alcohol impressively well integrated at 57.5%. The long, spicy finish keeps evolving; many enjoy it neat, some with a splash of water for extra fruit. A popular pick with 62 reviews, though a few find the Calvados influence and price-value debatable.

04.05.2024 Retasting during a nice exclusive tasting at Romdeluxe. I stick to my score and I still love it. -------------------------- This is a very nice interpretation of a Pere Labat and the flavours just come at you from opening the bottle. My favourite part is that they didn't lower the ABV. Leave the glass for the next day and nose it, amazing flavours still emanating from the glass. Price to quality is extremely good which is why I bought a backup bottle :-)
What a delight. It glides along by itself. Alcohol very well integrated, nice length. Very nice rum. I love it.
Shut up and take my money. Superb.
Taste of 3 random rhum agricoles, let´s see. Rum Artesanal Clement 2015, 55,5% Tamosi Hiali Peré Labat 2013, 57,5% J.M Millisime 2004, 42,9% C: Gold N: Oh, I know I’ll love this one. Oily and earthy. Am I smelling the best tequila reposado in the world? Sweet celery mixed with purée of pears, granny apples, rasp- and strawberries. On top of that dulce de leche, Tea and touches of vinegar. But that´s not it, I also get light peat, very resemblance of that burn eucalyptus and old tyres I get with pot still from Fiji. All very subtle though, almost elegant. M: So good, different, totally different to everything I’ve had before. But I love it. Earthy. Whiff of burn sugar and veggies. Sweet sourness. Big taste! F: Good length. Chilli heat! B: Yes sir. A very particular kind of distillate.
