A very nice Enmore release and I made a note about the floral notes present from nose to finish. The nose is fruity and woody with nice floral notes trailed by vanilla and light varnish. The palate is intense and complex yet very well balanced between sweetness, wood and fruits. Vanilla and floral notes follow close behind with a light leather note. The finish is long and intense with wood, leather and the returning floral notes.
From a purely tasting point of view, I would guess that this bottling is a rum from the Savalle Column Still.
I expected more from this rum. Very light on the palate, flat, a little vanilla, a little wood, short finish. Not exactly what you associate with Enmore....
