The "R14.1 Papaya the Sailor" was produced in Guyana at the Uitvlugt distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It was distilled in 1991 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 29 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 58,6%. Pretty weird rum. Very woodjuicy. Acidity. Interesting but far from brilliant.
Tangy but nice, overpriced
Nose is fine but at first it is completely woodjuice. Mellows out a bit after some time.
