A very nice rum and the same age as the oldest The Duchess. Lots of spices and kind of heavy on the vanilla without being dominant. There is no doubt what distillery made this rum and Michler kind of made a nice finish.
Very nice and soft 👃 full of vanilla, lot of wood, hint of fruits such as banana or even coconut. 👅 is more prominent with wood/oak as a base with nuances of vanilla, pepper and a little bit of bitterness of an orange peel in a long finish. Very nice rum I like it quite a lot. Very different Barbados than what I am used to and honestly I was getting tired of Barbadian rum but I have not tasted SC Barbados rum yet so that is the reason I guess why I like this one so much. Also I can rarely distinguish any flavor in the finish but with this one it was really easy with sweet tones of vanilla and bitterness from orange peel.
