Summary
The Jamaica rum is a limited release from the Clarendon distillery in Jamaica. It was distilled in 2013 and aged for 8 years before being bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 59.4%. in der Nase erst überraschend fruchtig und filigran nach Traube, Honigmelone, Mirabellen und Papaya, dann kommt Backgewürz und Minze mit Menthol dazu, sowie etwas Zedernholz & Rose. Geschmacklich dann als erstes direkt Minz Menthol Kräuterbonbons, viel Holz und fast schon verbrannte Noten, leicht bitter und pelzig adstringierend. Im Abgang dann deutlich ausgewogener nach Papaya, mango und viel Minze. schönes Teil und ein typischer und runder Vertreter aus Clarendon der trotz des jungen Alters schon echt gut abliefern kann!

Un nez surprenant avec du vernis et de la banane avec un peu de menthol. Menthol qu’on retrouve en bouche avec de la vanille et des épices. Comme un goût de pommes au four. Longueur moyenne avec des épices et encore du menthol et comme un goût de bain buccal. Bel équilibre général, saveurs assez opposées mais malgré tout cohérentes. J’aime bien. Regoûté et je confirme, un très beau rhum.

Die Nase ist angenehm sanft, süß und fruchtig, der Gaumen mit leichtem Holz, Frucht und Vanille… alles sehr zurückhaltend, Alkohol sehr gut eingebunden zum Abgang kommt erstaunlicherweise ein grasige Kräuternote hinzu! Ein gut gemachter intereRum

Nez qui démarre au top avec la banane et la vanille et surtout un côté pâtissier que je retrouvre rarement avec les jamaicains. Ensuite le vernis vient relever l'ensemble. En bouche, rien à voir avec le nez car j'attaque sur un léger côté fumé et poivré/pimenté. Ensuite cela change et revient sur les fruits tropicaux, la vanille, le vernis mais surtout le menthol domine secondé par le piment (trop). Finale assez longue sur le menthol, et la banane.
