#5238 15.04.2025 running some samples at home while listening to some new Trance tracks. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, fruits, pineapple, light citrus, spice, light floral, faint chocolate, light caramel. Palate Oily, light wood, spice, warm, fruits, light chocolate, light coconut, light caramel, pineapple, vanilla. Finish Long, light wood, spice, pineapple, light caramel, light chocolate, dried fruit. Empty glass Caramel, chocolate, light citrus, vanilla, light tobacco. Needs to rest for a good while to open up properly and for the ABV to settle.
Again, a solid Barbados Foursquare bottling. The typical notes are clearly recognizable here too. What bothers me about this one is that the alcohol is not particularly well integrated. It is rather on the rougher side.
No significant differences to the 2007s. Good Foursquare, but not an absolute top rum.
