Diamond Kill Devil Guyana 2003
Most enjoy its dry, woody, fruity power and long finish; critics find it sharp, young‑tasting and anesthetizing. Consensus: solid, characterful Guyanese, better suited to seasoned drinkers or cocktails.
Enthusiasts who enjoy dry, wood-driven, high-ABV Guyanese rum and don’t mind a firm alcohol bite; also interesting for cocktail fans wanting a powerful base spirit.

How does this rum taste?
Dry, punchy Guyanese cask strength
If you like robust, dry Demerara-style rums and don’t fear cask strength, this rewards you with depth and length—but it’s unforgiving if you prefer soft, sweet sippers.
Those sensitive to alcohol heat, newcomers expecting an easy sipper, or value-focused buyers wanting a clearly mature, rounded 16-year profile.

2003 (16 years old): spicy, even full-bodied! Carried by clove, raisin and brown sugar. Nice length, it's my favorite of the trio
25.09.2021 A friendly tasting with friends and colleagues. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, medium intense, wood, light roasted, light tea, plum, light citrus. Palate Medium intense, oily, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, plum, light nutts, pineapple, faint smoke. Finish Medium to long, oily, wood, faint smoke, light caramel, prunes, light nutts.
Très belle longueur en bouche. Je l'ai pas super apprécié car il a un côté anesthésiant en bouche qui me perturbé un peu.
Total rip-off when it comes to sippers. Very young, tastes of fusel oil, like an unaged whiskey. Very straw color, but in fact it's almost like it's not aged at all. A taste like this I expect from expressions less than 3 years old. For a 16-year-old rum, even if it is continental (no specificity in that respect), the quality for the price is just inexcusable. Shameful cash grab from Hunter Laing. Makes a very pleasant daiquiri all the same, but holy shit, you can find rums for daiquiris much cheaper than this. To be avoided.
