Rum Session No.9 from Liquid Treasures is a limited-edition rum distilled at Barbados' Foursquare distillery. This 2010 vintage is crafted from molasses using both pot and column stills, aged for 10 years, and bottled at cask strength with a 52.8% ABV. Tasting notes emphasize its raisin, sour cherry, prunes, coconut, and chocolate aroma, complemented by flavors of red wine, red fruits, and a hint of dryness. Wow, was soll ich sagen? Einfach ein gelungener Foursquare. Das Finish ist der Wahnsinn.. Hier kommt der Rotwein sehr gut raus. Ansonsten Kirsche und Trockenfrüchte. Sehr stark.
Feine Sache! Erkenntnis: Foursquare ist nicht so mein Ding, ein Rum mit Finish grundsätzlich auch nicht. Aber: Dieser Foursquare mit so einem Sauternes-Finish hat mich tatsächlich sofort rumgekriegt! 🤗 Toller Rum, der sogar Schwergewichte wie den Foursquare von Valinch & Mallet (2006) locker aussticht. Von dem hätte ich gern mehr als die 2cl Gratiszugabe gehabt. 😉 Cheers!
Toll: in der Nase eine Mischung aus Foursquare und Rotwein! Passt gut zusammen! Geschmack und Abgang sind nicht so smooth wie ich das von anderen Foursquare kenne. Das Rotweinfass drückt den Rum einen deutlichen Stempel auf. Ein gelungenes Finish!
31.07.2021 A nice tasting held by a bygone spirits shop. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Light wood, fruity, sweet, dried fruit, faint coffee, pineapple. Palate Round, fresh, light wood, medium spicy, light polish, light orange, dried fruit, faint chocolate. Finish Medium long, fresh, light roasted wood, faint chocolate, orange, light chocolate.
