How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the balanced, woody profile of Rhum J.M 2009: cocoa, vanilla and caramel on the nose lead to oak, nougat and a peppery touch on the palate. This 10‑year Martinique agricole shows round, engaging character, and reviewers note that a few drops of water soften the tannins. Well rated by 38 reviewers and a rising community favorite, it’s a confident pick for J.M fans.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 260,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

Not very interesting on the nose but reveals great flavours on the palate
I definetly love J.M profiles. Quite close to the Kirsch Whisky release which is quite impressive for a middle range rum.
Great nose, palate too woody and not at the level of the nose. Length too short, but that's probably due to its 42.3%.
Nice complexity, rather woody, somewhat lacking in fruit.
