“It is quite similar to the Corman Collins C'Rhum - heavy sweetness dominates, but unfortunately the reduced alcohol strength is also too noticeable in this bottling. It remains speculative whether the original distillate would have benefited from more power - but knowing the potential of the vintage, coupled with the legendary Coffey still as the source, it is reasonable to suspect that even more would have been possible. As a result, there is once again a lot of heavy caramel sweetness with dark chocolate, subtle café au lait and dark spicy notes, which provide some aromatic tension on the palate - but overall there is not enough spectacle for an even higher rating.”
