Another great release from Romdeluxe living up to its name. The nose is woody and fruity with some chocolate. The chocolate really comes out in the empty glass once rested. The palate is woody and has roasted notes to it with dried fruit, chocolate, honey and a nice hint of coffee. The finish is long and woody with honey, chocolate and coffee. Price to quality can be discussed, but it is a very nice rum.

The few percent more alcohol compared to the sister bottlings of Corman and Romdeluxe have a very positive effect here in my opinion - the heavy sweetness is much more nicely integrated and comes across much less dominant than in the other two bottlings. I like from this trio best.

Shame it really lacks in body. Would be much better with a bit more of strength. The fruits with chcolate are amazing

Woah! Rien qu'à sa couleur on sait qu'on est dans un autre monde. Le nez attaque sur la gourmandise avec du chocolat, de la vanille, de l'orange, des prunes, le tout pepsé par le vieux fût et des notes de cirage. En bouche on reste sur la même trame, vanille, crème chocolat, café?, orange, prune et le fût et le cirage se font plus présents qu'au nez sans atténuer la gourmandise extrême de ce jus. La finale est longue sur la vanille, le fût et le cirage. Longtemps après avoir fini cette dégustation j'ai eu une impression de menthol également. Un des meilleurs rhums que j'ai eu la chance de goûter.
