It was distilled from Molasses and then aged for 14 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 57%. 17.07.2021 On an extended weekend with my family and brought some samples to enjoy in the dunes. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Medium intense, light wood, ester, light glue, banana, overripe, faint mint. Palate Warm, light wood, faint smoke, ester, light glue, banana, overripe, light citrus, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, light wood, ester, fruity, light pineapple, light glue, faint vegetal.
Nez magnifique , des esters et de la colle, ainsi que de la vanille, après une longue aération c’est la banane qui se dégage. La bouche est moins complexe c’est dommage, mais après à aération c’est la banane qui est dominante et c’est frais et pas aussi lourd qu’au départ. En finale on reste sur une note fraîche plutôt menthe ou eucalyptus.
