The "Ulrich Swiss" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Adelphi. It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses and then aged for 22 years. The rum has an ABV of 62,8%. "Not a classic beauty but with her own charm. No short dance-off in the disco followed by a quick number. Here you have to go out for dinner and a movie firstđ 2-3 drops of water, if you like, help to round it off. Needs air and time. I let it breathe for over an hour. Certainly not for the daily sipper. Dark and heavy, it fits me extremely well."
"Un Ă©chantillon rĂ©coltĂ© au Lucerne Rum Festival. Un nez de fruits jaunes, dâatelier mĂ©canique et dâorange amĂšre avec un lĂ©ger atelier mĂ©canique. LâentrĂ©e de bouche est trĂšs fruitĂ©e, fruits jaunes (poire) et fruits exotiques Ă Ă©galitĂ©, puis des arĂŽmes de Caronis arrivent. Câest bon, mais pour un Caroni je peux regretter un manque de complexitĂ© aromatique. La finale est assez courte, austĂšre, marquĂ©e par le bois et elle semble un peu diluĂ©e. Le verre vide est marquĂ© par le bois, les notes dâatelier mĂ©canique et un peu dâacĂ©tone. Il ne manque pas grand chose pour ĂȘtre un grand Caroni, le fruitĂ© est indubitablement lĂ , mais il reste un peu dĂ©sĂ©quilibrĂ© et il manque de complexitĂ©. Peut-ĂȘtre que le fĂ»t nâĂ©tait pas de la meilleure qualitĂ© ?"
