I’ve tried a few from Travellers distillery, this was my favourite in comparison to kill devil and cadenhesds. More depth of flavour and a good abv.
My first Travellers rum. This is sensational rum. Incredibly complex, yet retains an unctuous roundness that makes it so easy to sip. The nose is pungent, and will take a while to descern everything that is going on, yet it's not necessarily funky. On the palate it delivers unlike anything I've ever had. It's so smooth and unctuous despite it's incredibly complex profile. The alignment of medicinal herbaceous notes to the dark red fruit overtones, cola, the burnt caramel, the liquorice, the coffee, the maple syrup is something else. At time of writing, this is currently the best rum in my collection, and one of the best runs I've ever tasted. It delivers so so much. In terms of everything you probably want from a rum, this rum likely has it. Wow.
