Je trouve aussi un peu de goudron salé, cette salinité évolue vers du poisson fumé, des enchoïades épicées et des olives vertes. Le boisé est fondu dans toute cette puissance olfactive, il porte subtilement les arômes. Le degré alcoolique est imperceptible à ce moment de la dégustation. Dans le genre, c'est un nez proche de la perfection. 😋 Texture huileuse et sèche. Impressionnante sensation d'intensité et de concentration aromatique. Une totale opposition entre d'un côté des fruits tropicaux surmûris et de l'autre une fumée de goudron salé, d'essence, d'olives en saumure et de colle. J'adore ce mélange de petits morceaux d'ananas très mûrs et de cerises aigres dans une sauce asiatique umami. On peut définir cette bouche comme représentative de la saveur Hampden typique, un joyeux melting-pot de sucré/salé, amer/acide et aigre doux. Encore une fois, un boisé en retrait, qui magnifie les saveurs. L'alcool est parfaitement intégré. ⛳ Longue, très longue, chaude, savoureuse, salée, épicée, sèche, amère, astringente, estérisée jusqu'au bout. Du funk crémeux d'ananas sucrés et de vanille aux piments s'éternise longtemps sur les parois de la bouche et dans le gosier. 🏆 Complet & complexe, intense & évolutif, ce très vieux rum jamaïcain a magnifiquement vieilli, avec des esters crémeux, du funk hyper fruité, rempli de marqueurs trigeminaux et médicinaux avec une longue finale hampdenienne à souhait.
