A.H. Riise Signature
Most love the lush orange-caramel sweetness and long finish; critics find it too sticky, alcohol-forward or overpriced. Consensus: one of the better, more complex sweet A.H. Riise bottlings.
Here vanilla, fruit, and caramel come together. The taste is very spicy and strong with mild oak, even nutty. The finish is spicy and sweet. Maybe the value for money is a bit high, but finally a rum that actually tastes like rum.Read more

How does A.H. Riise Signature taste?
Liqueur‑like orange caramel dessert rum
If you enjoy A.H. Riise’s sweet style or orange liqueurs, this is a richer, slightly deeper take—great as a dessert sipper, but not ideal if you prefer dry, rum-forward bottles.
Drinkers avoiding added sugar, anyone wanting a dry, traditional rum character, and those sensitive to overt sweetness or slightly alcohol-forward finishes.

Auto-translated8,5:The nose immediately gives us the brand's very traditional oily-orange character, but with a hint of finely spiced herbal notes that further refresh the whole. The orange then leans towards yellow lemon, or rather a syrup made from its juice. Aeration brings a more powdery, gently spicy profile, with the softness of an orange cookie with powdered sugar. Various spices continue to evoke pastry, and we even go so far as to imagine a buttery cookie dough. 7,5:The palate is less round than expected, but of course remains very sweet. The orange peel is amply candied and encrusted with sweet spices such as cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg. A hint of licorice indicates molasses, then dilutes into lemon syrup. 7,3:The finish is long, thanks to the citrus peels that imprint their oily bitterness on the palate... Edit:27.7.25, very nice on the nose, then...
Bursting aroma with loads of tropical fear and caramel. Velvety on the tongue with an eminent complexity.
This is the latest top shelf release from Riise and it's also pretty sweet but the difference is in the finish where it has a bit more bite than the other top shelf rums from them. The nose is very fruity with sweet caramel, spice and very light wood. The palate is sweet with lots of fruit trailed by sweet caramel, vanilla and a hint of wood and tobacco. The finish is long and sweet with fruit and vanilla. This is one of the best finishes I have tried in a release from Riise. Price to quality can be argued, I got a very good deal, so for me an OK price.
