Top review from Jakob:
"Excellent, classic old Demerara profile with excellent integrated alcohol - the 70% brings complexity but is nowhere near this level perceptible and consequently does not overpower. Lots of heavy sweetness and spice, age is apparent and bitterness is present without being too dominant. It is bottlings like this that are simply lacking today, despite or possibly because of the much higher release frequency. Outstanding!"
Demerara
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"This rum is a top notch when it comes to flavours as well as complexity and balance. Perfect ABV integration and lightly dry with nice fruits and roasted wood. The spices only enhances the overall profile. I really like the coffee on the finish and the empty glass is wonderful even after several hours."
Guyana Ed. 3
Top review from Oliver:
"Excellent Demerara rum! The nose is complex and concentrated, and really makes you want more. On the palate you will then find the perfect blend of delicate bitter notes, spice and dark chocolate. Absolute recommendation!"
Rum Artesanal Guyana Rum PM
Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"Excellent rum! All elements are in perfect balance, none overpowering the other. On the nose the caramel throws off thinking you will find a sweet flavor, instead the rum comes out slightly bitter and dry. Later in the mouth, toasty, woody, spicy and grape notes are noticeable. The caramel gone, perhaps cocoa or chocolate. The finish is medium long with the persistence of the grape and after that more tobacco, but still all very soft.A rum that given the distillery and aging I would have expected something more!"
The Golden Age of Piracy Samuel Bellamy
Top review from Jakob:
"Relatively relaxed PM profile with spices and dry fruits and nicely balanced green notes. The palate reveals a flavorful complexity of wood, dried fruit, tea, cinnamon, chocolate and subtle pastry notes. The result is an elegant balance between tart wood influences and green spice notes, the delicate sweetness of the dried fruit and pastry notes, and elegant toastiness in the finish. Successful barrel selection!"

Top review from Vincent D:

Top review from RumTaTa:
"Second tasting: Uiuiui is the sharp on the palate, no wonder at almost 70%!But convinced me no longer so, since I know better Uitvlugt Rums(-2)Very interesting nose, similar to cherry liqueur and quite closed. On the palate very intense with a nice marzipan note, cocoa and barrel notes. The finish harmonizes with the impression on the palate and is not too bitter.Good intensity without being too bitter or woody. I like very much."
Rum Sponge No. 26
Top review from zabo:
"Wow wow wow. What a bullet!!! Thank you Sascha for digging it out of the depths of your warehouse. I regret having squandered this one! I should have kept a lot more of this good stuff! The price is a bit steep, but compared to other prices for some rums it's still a bargain."

Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"I don't know what's wrong with me today, but this rum doesn't knock my socks off either. I find it somehow ordinary, although I have to admit that the alcohol is very, very well integrated. After a longer period of standing, the rum becomes more accessible and I increasingly taste something like sweet cardboard. The subjectively perceived improvement after breathing for a long time just manages to get the rum over the 80-point mark. I'll have to taste it again. But I certainly don't need a whole bottle."

Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"At the price tag this is a great rum, maybe I got it at a very special price bit it is very good indeed. The nose is fruity with lots of spices and there is something floral to it as well. The palate is balanced and complex with lots of fruit and spices matchibt the nose. Slight sweetness and burnt sugar later on. The finish is long and dry with wood and spice. "

"Vertical PM tasting: 89 / 95 /97 / 97 (cognac finish) / 02 / 05 / 13 Very nice. Predominantly leaning towards darker / woody / roasted notes. The cognac cask is quite noticeable adding grapes and a certain elegance to the rum. Interesting and noticeable different in the best sense."
Wild Series Rum Port Mourant No. 43 (Rums of Anarchy) MPM
Top review from Serge:
"Lang gereifter, kontinentaler PM – aber ohne große Überraschungen. Anis, Lakritze, Vanille, Gelbe Früchte, Tee und Süße mit etwas Holz and der Nase … am Gaumen dann noch Fenchel mit dabei und etwas Salzig. Ich glaube ich hatte etwas mehr erwartet."

Top review from Serge:
"Kontinentaler PM, der zu überzeugen weiß. Nase schön süß und fruchtig mit Anis, Salz, Lakritze, Rosine, zitrusschalen und Tee. Am Gaumen dann nochmal einen Gang höher. Recht ausgewogen mit Salz, Frucht, Kräutern, Lakritze und Holz in einer angenehmen Balance."

"04.05.2024 Retasting during a nice exclusive tasting at Romdeluxe. I stick to my score and I still love it. -------------------------- #4027 We lined up this one and its brother with the same age and this one looses big time. This is a more subtle rum and I'm in no doubt that it's because of the ABV. All notes are kind of light. Fruity a sn woodsy with roasted notes and the nose is extremely light. Easy drinkable and I think most would be able to drink it. Draws amazing curtains in the glass whereas the empty glass fades quickly. Adding some of its more powerful brother reveals a more balanced rum 😊"
Rum Artesanal Guyana
Top review from Jakob:
"Very herbal Uitvlugt, should be attributed to the PM Marque. Exciting basic profile of licorice, wood and some toffee. Unfortunately, this is once again pushed to the fore by a somewhat irritating sage fennel note that has been present in some Artesanal bottlings over the past two years. For me, the impact in the direction of cough tea and herbal liquor is a bit too intense. Comes for me therefore not to the better continental aged PM Marques."

Top review from Frank:
"I've had the sample for so long and am only now getting around to it... Nose: quite typical of Uitvlugt, spicy-roasty, slightly burnt with lots of lemon. Sweet-tropical with passion fruit and delicately spicy with cardamom. Green banana and metallic copper on the finish. Delicate and rather subtle on the nose, the age of 20 years is not yet noticeable. 8,2 Palate: powerful and burnt-spicy. Immediately an intense taste of soap in the mouth. Bitter lemon peel also goes well with this. Slightly salty and peppery with plenty of clove. You don't notice the age here, as it is hardly woody. Overall a little flat and too soapy for me. 7.6"

Top review from DomM:
"Wood and vanilla on the nose. There are also earthy and herbal notes present. Black tea with a sip of milk and honey (?) - something in this ballpark at least. Decent complexity with some nuances to discover. Nice. Nicely balanced in the palate. Vanilla Creme and candied spices. Some wood and earthiness plays well with sweetness."

Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this sample for free from RumX. This rum comes from the since year 2000 closed Uitvlugt Distillery and the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still which today is moved to the Diamond Distillery, the only distillery in Guyana nowadays. It was distilled in 1997 and was first tropical aged for 2 years in an former bourbon barrel whereafter it was continentally aged for 21 years in an former cognac barrel. Finally it was bottled in 2022 in 262 bottles at 53,4%. Overall an elegant and round rum where the taste of grapefruit dominates."
Plantation Extrême N.4 (For Belgium - The Nectar)
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"I just returned from a luxury tasting I was invited to and I'm actually a bit tipsy this time because all the rums had a high proof. This tasting was Plantation extreme only and this is the second one of the six. Oh dear, this one is dominated by peat and it's hard to get past. At least in the finish the peat is overpowered by other flawours. This is a disappointing one and the price doesn't stand the distance. "

"Etwas dünn aber doch trotzdem unterbewertet wie ich finde. Salzlake, Tee, Vanille und Früchte mit etwas Anis in schöner Balance. Am Gaumen dann etwach leise … wie zu erwarten. Aber der Geschmack ist trotzdem da"
