Private Garden No.1 Clos des Spiritueux
Top review from Oliver:
"Very fruity and inspiring floral nose. Incredibly intense and almost perfume-like. Creamy and multi-layered on the palate. The typical mint is added on the finish. Perfectly integrated alcohol. Excellent T.D.L!"
Rasta Morris Trinidad
Top review from DomM:
"Oh Boy, this is a nice one. Much power on the palate providing a evolving experience playing with lots of mint, fruits, spices and wood. On the edge of being to alcoholic and/or woody at some point of the journey but beautifully coming back with dried fruits and mint in the next moment. Very reminiscent of tropical aged MM imo."
No. 27
Top review from Tschusikowsky:
"An incredibly strong rum. A lot of power in it. At first I had a strong taste of gorgonzola in my mouth. Definitely not for the sober palate. I liked the 2003 vintages better because the (yellow) fruit is more present. It is simply too strong and too brute in taste for me. It works better for me with water."
Wild Series Rum No. 42 TML
Top review from DomM:
"Strong mint / menthol notes on the nose and the palate. Both alongside fruits and quite some dirt. This bottling is very nice and delivers a high intensity on the palate, being well balanced between fresh notes and dirty and woody notes."

Top review from Gunnar BĂśhme "Bauerngaumen" đ¤:
"After I tasted the rum solo yesterday and was quite impressed by it, it has to go up against another 2003 today: my choice is the CdI Caksus (RX11936), which I gave a whopping 89 points to back then. And what can I say: it has a really hard time against this brand new TDL from the still very unknown Bottler Spirit Gallery! If one is ahead on the nose and then the other đ, although neither of them is yet highly recommended, but rather greets you shyly with slightly alcoholic vapors, the heavyweight from Spirit Gallery turns up the heat on the palate and literally pushes the Caksus against the wall. To put it plainly: the CdI Caksus gets the maximum palatable flavors out of the 56.3%, especially menthol, while the Spirit Gallery, by virtue of its (fairly well integrated) 60%, mainly presses a huge spice onto the palate (menthol plays a rather subordinate role). Conclusion: The Caksus TDL is more the light-footed, good-humored lightweight boxer who plays at the top of his class, while the Spirit Gallery TDL is the impetuous, somewhat fierce heavyweight boxer at the beginning of his career, who can hardly walk with power, but already has a lot of potential. A somewhat unequal fight, which fortunately still ends in a draw."
Trinidad (Bottled for the 1802)
Top review from lukasdrinkinghabits:
"Rum or cognac? Could you say for sure in the blind tasting? I can't. Yes the TDL mint, along with ginger, cloves, citrus you can detect, but there is also the peach, grapey cognac flavors galore. Compared to the Caksus exclusive, the 1802 is brighter and fruitier and without the dark roasted aromas. The same picture in the mouth: mint and bright fruit - very cognacresque. My TDL Falernum to go with it. Actually tastes like a blend of the dirty 2001 and the fruity 2002s. Compared to the Caksus, the finish is much smoother and much less menthol-heavy, here the rĂśsitge barrel does come out again and the alcohol remains perceptible, unfortunately. Very nice TDL."
No. 36
Top review from DomM:
"Nice and mature nose. Wood and vanillin forwards with candid herb candy providing depth and complexity. Menthol notes are also present, while this bottling doesnât strike me with freshness on the nose. Expected notes on the palate embedded in a darker and heavy profile showing some dirt. There is a specific artificial vanillin note, however, which undermines balance somewhat."
#1 Trinidad Distillers Limited
Top review from Galli33:
"WoW A powerful nose reminiscent of a fruity Caroni! On the palate, the classic TDL mint emerges more and more. Dried plum, mango and strong mocha notes are added here. The finish is dry, vanilla and fruity. The mint takes the upper hand here and remains in the mouth for an extremely long time. The alcohol is extremely well integrated. Keep up the good work Spiritori đđťđđťđŞđťMerci!"
Trinidad (Bottled for Germany)
Top review from Galli33:
"Finally i opened my Xmas present 𤤠WoW what an amazing rum. Nice color and smell right from the opening to the last drop. Minty, nuts, dark chocolate, licorice, some fruits. Tastes a bit like After Eight..This is practically what i like the most! The alcohol and wood is intergrated very well. Itâs a well balanced and super delicious, complex rum from TDL!! Lovely!! Nose: Minty, floral, black tea, green, menthol, delicious, fruity, woody(oak), spicy, licorice, nutty, almond, a bit a sweetness Mouth: Strong, full bodied, complex, elegant, balanced, oily, dry, round, astringend, minty, tobacco, green, mango and plum, menthol, burnt sugar, spicy, licorice, woody(oak), nutty, roasted almonds, dark chocolate Finish: long, dry, full bodied, delicious, menthol, minty, Thymne, black tea, oak"
The Many Faces of Rum
Top review from DomM:
"Complex and rich nose. It clearly shows its age with dark and woody notes. Still it has a freshness with fruits and menthol notes (not fresh mint) making for a nice mix overall. Similar performance on the palate: clearly shows its age but retains enough liveliness to deliver an excellent example of the profile. Wood, tea, herbs and some fruits with a long minty finish. Nice!"
2008
Top review from Jakob:
"Great overall package of menthol, wood and fruit with great complexity. The sweetness expands on the finish, revealing both caramel and vanilla sugar notes, but also very delicate fruit sweetness, which suits the overall profile very well. Excellent TDL, I like the release very much."
Trinidad (Bottled for Caksus)
Top review from Galli33:
"WoW another minty TDL from CDI. I really love this symbiosis between mint/anise and wood/nuts/roasted almonds. Very unique rum. The alcohol is integrated very well. Long minty finish đ¤¤The value for money ratio is very good too. For me this one is behind the â19 version. I found the 19 is more rounder and a bit woodier, which synergy smoother and better. PN: You wonât like it, if you hate minty/anise notes. For me: 16yr>18yr of aging"
Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 44
Top review from DomM:
"Comparatively closed up on the nose. Rather wood forwards on the nose as well as on the palate which reduces the liveliness of the profile somewhat. Enjoyable bottling with all the right 2000s TDL markers, just not my favorite out of the bunch."

Top review from zabo:
"Edit: enjoyed again in peace as a digestive rum after lunch at the Italian restaurant. I'm always a bit critical of Swell, but this one really won me over for once. Great bottling. Adjusted upwards a little. Unfortunately only sipped briefly when bottling. First impressions are better than the last Swell T.D.L Privat Garden #4, but a detailed tasting will follow."
Flensburg Rum Company Exclusive for The Bottle Shop Heilbronn
Top review from Jakob:
"A real aroma bomb full of mint, a potpourri of tropical fruits and barrel influences, which add both bitterness and spiciness. This is flanked by a delicate sweetness that rounds off the release successfully for me. No, this is not easy sipping, it remains challenging, but also rewarding because it is multi-layered and aromatically lively - there is always something new to discover on the palate and the finish is also long-lasting. Great!"

Top review from Dr.Django:
"Dieser T.D.L. ist ein guter Rum, aber irgendwas missfällt mir hier. Die Nase ist Okay, am Gaumen viel Menthol und helle Frßchte. Am Gaumen fehlt es an Intensivität und das Finish ist kurz. Fßr den Preis ein No-Brainer im gegenteiligen Sinne =P Zweite Verkostung: - 4 Pkt."
Private Garden #4
Top review from Thunderbird:
"This is a special TDL, not as classic as I was used to, but very tasty. The nose is very fruity and soft, I also perceive a slightly nutty, savory aroma. On the palate it is very creamy and initially exudes a heavy sweetness, followed by fruit, chocolate and later slightly dirty nuances... very pleasing, the whole thing, The finish is characterized by light wood, vanilla, roasted nuts and sweet fig. I like it very much"
Trinidad Rum
Top review from Tschusikowsky:
"Chocolate, mango, peach, tropical fruit, tobacco, generally very fruity, tropical, not Jamaican but different, dry on the nose, associations with sweetness, but it's not really sweet. In the mouth, tobacco, tea, red fruits, licorice, orange peel, passion fruit, rubber frogs, subtly woody. Tastes like tropical iced tea...dangerous. Alcohol well integrated, for 64% a somewhat light finish but lasts a long time, changes flavors. In the finish still pome fruit, slightly smoky, black tea, mint. Time to breathe is recommended and a drop or two of water would also suit it well. A very successful TDL bottling that is fun to drink. More fruity in profile compared to the CDI."
Wonders of the World Single Cask Series 13
Top review from Vincent D:
"TDL nose: woody, minty and fruity. Surprisingly greedy. Engaging. On the palate, it's surprisingly progressive. Woody frame and light mint envelop brown sugar, discreet coconut, zesty spices, orange and a mocha impression. The taste evolves with time. The finish is rather long, cocoa-like, lemony, minty and bitter. Once again, Swell is the bomb! The bottle has just been opened. In 15 days, after oxidation, it'll be even better! Can't wait. Edit: tested with a drop of water to reduce the strength a little, and I think this rum would have easily withstood a reduction without it altering the interest, on the contrary."
Flensburg Rum Company Sea Shepherd (Barracuda Single Cask)
Top review from Gunnar BĂśhme "Bauerngaumen" đ¤:
"A blind purchase that was absolutely worth it! Yes, I have to say I'm even slightly euphoric - what a great rum! While it is still relatively restrained on the nose (and remains so), the fat mint aromas really come into their own on the palate, but not as "light" as with the two RAs of the last two years, but somehow "darker", more bitter, drier - almost as if a good Monymusk had also set its accents here. The alcohol is dosed just right to bring out the aromas perfectly. Yes, this rum is definitely a T.D.L., and one of the really good kind - I'll go one better: for me, it's the best I've ever drunk - right after the legendary CDI (RX944)! đ Predicate: lip-smacking. đ Chapeau, FRC! đ Update 2023-07-21: Well, now the demystification that some have been waiting for. 𤡠Tasting it again today, I can - apart from the mint and the slight euphoria - feel the same way I did back then. The only difference is that I wouldn't put everything on such a high level now - apart from the alcohol, which is incredibly well integrated for over 60%. So, only a slight disenchantment, not a total one. But now the rum seems to have been put into perspective. It's a good one. Oh well, tasted against the new RA T.D.L (RX15401). It doesn't stand a chance against it, it's clearly superior in all respects. Update 2023-10-14: Blue hour, the second: Blind crosstasting with the T.D.L 2002 from Cadenhead's (RX16680). Today, the differences between the two compared rums are quite big. One is pleasantly minty and later a little smoky, the other musty and chalky with poorly integrated alcohol. I liked the former much better. I thought it was the FRC that I had already tasted several times - and was wrong after the dissolution. I see the Cadenhead's as a solid 2002 T.D.L in the lower midfield, 85 points. Unfortunately, the difference on the nose and palate (and the smell of the emptied glass! đ) means that I have to downgrade the FRC again, from 85 to 81 points."

Top review from Mirco:
"Wonderful nose, which unfortunately does not continue in the mouth. Instead, the typical TDL notes are joined by a strong cannabis note. Really special, something I've never experienced before. Of course, a higher ABV would also be better."
Trinidad
Top review from Thunderbird:
"CoR-Tasting GRF13: Sehr minziger frischer TDL mit einigen Kräuter-Noten. Alkohol ist deutlich spßrbar und präsent. Insgesamt eine ansprechende Abfßllung, die aber nicht an die 2001-2003er Jahrgänge herankommt. Man hätte ihm etwas mehr Zeit zum entwickeln veben sollen"
La Maison du Rhum #4
Top review from Jakob:
"Exciting TDL with round sweetness, green tobacco notes as well as wood and spices, which are paired with mint flavors on the palate. Overall, an interesting, if not mind-blowing, melange that has few rough edges, making it a nice entry into the Trinidad spectrum away from the pure focus on Spanish style."
Plantation Trinidad One-Time
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đŠđ°:
"#4078 A pretty nice release and a well balanced one at the same time. Fruity with nice spices and well integrated ABV. I really like the light minty and floral note in the profile. The empty glass reveals some coffee and nuts."
Angostura 1787
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đŠđ°:
"Retasting and it did lose some points đ ------- This one concludes this week's tastings. Angostura has done it again. Another great rum and this one is a tad better than their 12 year old. This one was blended by John George's and he did a really good job. After blending it matured for 15 years in oak and you can taste that oak. A fruity well balanced rum with a long and full bodied finish."
Zaya Rum Gran Reserva
Top review from Timo Groeger:
"This rum really knows how to convince. Beautiful and above all pleasant nose consisting of coffee and chocolate. Then really fun on the palate. Goes from dark chocolate and coffee to vanilla and nuts. And above all, not too sweet. Delicious."
Angostura Trinidad
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"Relatively wild & dirty with so much glue/petrol. Very unusual for a Trinidad. Mint, caramel syrup, dried fruit and lots of spices on the palate. But it's not really harmonious. Too sweet and at the same time too "dirty"."
Angostura 1919
Top review from Leo Tomczak:
"Amazingly good. Nose full of Trinidad. Very light taste, of course. I think it's only moderately suitable for beginners, as you'd expect something pleasantly sweet in this price segment. The TDL aromas come through well, almost herbal/tar. I am very positively surprised."
