Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"A nicely balanced TDL with nice spices, fruit and a nice caramel and chocolate topping. The empty glass delivers even better flavours once its been standing for a while. A bottle hard to get already and if you get a chance you should give it a go. Price to quality is pretty good."

Top review from Oliver:
"Very fruity and floral nose. Eerily intense and almost perfume-like. The palate is creamy and complex. The finish adds the typical mint. Perfectly integrated alcohol. Excellent T.D.L!"

Top review from Piotr Ignasiak:
"This one is quite a treat. Nice grape juice on the nose with some flowers, distant coffee. On palate even more flowers but with dried fruit, some smoke and coffee, subsequent sips add intense menthol and spiciness. Overall feels not that concentrated, potentially missing a tropical aging, also medium finish at best. Overall very happy I got to buy a bottle."

"#4072 This is the 4th time I've sampled this one and I really like it. So much so that I have a bottle on the shelf to enjoy. Lightly woody with fruits and spices. There is a light dirty set of workshop notes and I really like that part."

"Of the dirty TDLs, 2001 is the most prominent vintage. The 2001s are the dirtiest, 2002 is fresher and 2003 is yellow fruitier. In crosstasting, I tried the RA, TCRL, Nobilis, Plantation Antipodes and the new Rasta Morris. The rums are incredibly similar - esp. the Nobilis and RM are barely distinguishable. The RA stands out because of the dilution, the Plantation is clearly marked by the cognac barrel - it moves it closer to the 2003s - and the TCRL is the freshest, with an unusual herbal note. The TCRL is somewhat reminiscent of the 2002s.The Nobilis is the dirtiest of my samples with the RM. In addition to the typical menthol and mint notes, there is tar, wood, toasty caramel, tobacco and some coffee. The yellow fruits (overripe peach) are quite far in the background but there. If I had to distinguish the Nobilis from the RM, I would point to the smell of damp cellar (musty, cardboard) in the Nobilis versus a wood-paneled man's room. A difference that is probably mostly imaginary. Both are even more wood driven than the other two. Maybe these rums shouldn't age much. For me, on the same level as the RM. Very, very good."

Top review from TheRhumhoe:
"A T.D.L. that starts on the nose with a good dose of menthol, supported by fruit to bring freshness. Empyreumatic notes of roast, tobacco and toasted oak follow, reminiscent of a Caroni. It takes a while for the aromas to take shape on the nose, but it's worth the wait. The attack on the palate is lively, on the dirtiness typical of a Caroni but with medicinal notes and extra bitterness. Herbs, tobacco, licorice, aniseed and leather reinforce this impression. Behind the menthol and eucalyptus lurk notes of dried fruit and red berries, timidly showing the tip of their nose. The alcohol is well integrated, and the finish is long, sticky and grimy. Dark chocolate, cocoa, leather, aniseed and licorice provide the bitterness, while spice and wood give the rum a dry, lively edge. Then fruit and menthol add their share of freshness, before petroleum and gasoline notes dirty the profile. An intriguing rum that won't leave you indifferent."

"The first thing that has caught my eye was an interesting graphic design of the label. I really love all The Whisky Jury rum themes, and this one is my favourite by far. The symbolism of pelicans is a very interesting topic as well, so it caught my attention instantly. The colour is amber. Nose is a little bit closed in the beginning, but soon it becomes fruity (ripe tropical fruit), spicy and malty. Taste is beautiful and continuation of the nose. If their previous (19yo sister cask) TDL release was a whisky drinkers rum, that this is for all those who prefer cognac. Palate is fruity and creamy - ripe tropical fruits again, citrus, some dried fruits (grapes). Walnuts, spices and resins. Barrel influence is at check, and I taste some slight bitternes and fresh herbs buried in the background. The finish is powerful and spicy, but with great alchohol integration for a 63%vol. Nothing unpleasant or raw. It reminded me of an old Pirelli tyres commercial - the power is nothing without control. It possesses class and refinement, with enough horsepowers under the hood. 93/100"

"A 2003 T.D.LDThe often belong to the "dirty" and especially mint monsters...The nose starts relaxed with bourbon, vanilla and barrel. If I smell deeper into the glass, the alcohol jumps out at me and almost obscured also mint and freshness/coolness! It's hard for me to get past the alcohol. Some fruitiness (dried fruit) and spice can be found. Palate: first an unexpected malt note, then a whole bunch of mint and kumquat, quite bitter, barrel and spice again, all within a pleasant framework. Overall quite sharp but that may be due to my extended rum break. The mint and light bitterness linger long and complement each other well. A nice, intense T.D.L with a lot of mint character, which could be quietly more complex."

"On the nose it's very appealing!!! It's hard to let it air out 🤤 Very fruity and a floral/medicinal touch. In the mouth it's extra!!! A huge kick!!! Intensely complex! A nice slap in the face ❤❤ I don't regret having picked up a bottle 👌Coup de coeur du moment 🔥Second bottle received!!! Half empty bottle. Softer on the attack. Taste remains just as deep."

"Mal wieder ein Paradebeispiel wie geil tdl Trinidad Rums einfach sind. Floral frisch und richtig würzig. geil! Im Gegensatz zum "lila" Vertreter für Deutschland ist der hier floraler aber auch der Alkoholgehalt ist nicht ganz so gut eingebunden. Dennoch Bomben Stoff."

"Rum or cognac? Could you say for sure in the blind tasting? I can't. Yes the TDL mint, along with ginger, cloves, citrus you can detect, but there is also the peach, grapey cognac flavors galore. Compared to the Caksus exclusive, the 1802 is brighter and fruitier and without the dark roasted aromas. The same picture in the mouth: mint and bright fruit - very cognacresque. My TDL Falernum to go with it. Actually tastes like a blend of the dirty 2001 and the fruity 2002s. Compared to the Caksus, the finish is much smoother and much less menthol-heavy, here the rösitge barrel does come out again and the alcohol remains perceptible, unfortunately. Very nice TDL."

Top review from mto75:
"On the nose I have especially yellow fruit / mango, mint and caramel. On the palate passion fruit, toasty charred notes and menthol. The 64.3% is well integrated. Again, an excellent TDL from the early 2000s, but the Swell 2000 or the Nobilis 2001 score a bit higher."

"After resting this one for 15 minutes it really opens up. A really nice Barbados rum with many of the Bajan flavours. Fruits well mixed with spices and nice wood. Slight bitterness on the palate and finish. I like it 😊 Overall a well rounded rum."

Top review from Anton Krioukov:
"This is a vanilla bomb! If you like the taste of vanilla, you would like this rum. It is fairly smooth drinking and would probably go well over ice. It definitely tastes like they add vanilla flavoring, in my opinion. Very sweet and not terribly complex."

"#4078 A pretty nice release and a well balanced one at the same time. Fruity with nice spices and well integrated ABV. I really like the light minty and floral note in the profile. The empty glass reveals some coffee and nuts."

Top review from Jakob:
"Spannender TDL mit runder Süsse, grünen Tabaknoten sowie Holz und Gewürzen, die am Gaumen mit Minzaromen gepaart werden. Insgesamt eine interessante, wenn auch nicht umwerfende Melange, die wenige Ecken und Kanten aufweist und somit einen schönen Einstieg ins Trinidad-Spektrum abseits des reinen Fokus auf den spanischen Stil ermöglicht."

Top review from Dom M:
"Nose: Roasted, dark notes are very dominat. Significantly different from the TBRC Fernandes. Palate: same again. Dark and roasted notes, some sweetness. Reminds me nothing of TDL but rather of a South/Middle American Spanish style rum. Again: very different compared to the TBCR."

Top review from MarcT:
"Interesting Rum, especially in the aftertaste. Got chocolate notes there, again having such distinctive flavor for the first time. No Alcohol burn, a bit sweeter than what I usually have. Second Tasting after quite a while: more wood, still very likeable."
