"Now a "real" Chairman's. Strong and powerful. Nose: beautifully powerful and intense. Spicy, fruity and woody. Minty-fresh, cool on the nose. Fresh lemon together with kumquat, redcurrant and blackberry. But also dry vanilla and old cinnamon powder. Chocolate and some soft licorice on the finish. I like that. 87 Palate: an interesting flavor curve... intense at first, slightly salty, then minty-fresh, then soft and muted and very chocolaty with some licorice. Then becomes slightly metallic and ends with saffron and sesame. Not totally round, but all the more interesting for that. 90 Fun to drink."

"12.03.2021 Happy tasting at a bygone bar. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Intense, wood, banana, plum, citrus, light earthy, light nutts, spice. Palate Warm, intense, wood, tannins, light roasted, dried fruit, plum, light nutts, faint chocolate, light spicy, light ginger. Finish Long and warm, wood, roasted, light medicinal, berries, ligh pineapple, medium spicy."

"Another retaste and I stick to my initial score. This is the bomb of Chairman’s Reserve. A very intense and well balanced rum. I was very locky to get a sample and I like it a lot. The nose is intense and has smoky wood and fruit trailed by cinnamon and coffee. The palate takes off where the nose left. A warm and intense rum, yet well balanced with smoky wood, fruits and spices. The finish is extremely long and warm with smoky wood, dried fruits and spices. Price to quality can be argued, when I compare it to my other old Chairman’s Reserve rums for which I paid less than half :-)"

"Day 24 RumX calendar What an unusual rum! I couldn't place it in any corner! St. Lucia I would never have suspected! Black Adder was almost 100% certain for me due to the charcoal residue in the glass! The flavors are more on the herbal side, but harmonize neatly as the spices provide good contrast! I like the St. Lucia very much"

"After pouring into the glass, the rum immediately takes possession of the surrounding air with thick, heavy swaths. Closer to the glass I find sour cherry, red berries and cassis. The fruit compote is accompanied by very pleasant and balanced roasted and barrel notes. Pleases me excellently. I have compared on the fly with some other St Lucia but this one is a blast on the nose! On the palate, the tannins clearly have the upper hand: lots of spice, oak, leather, salty licorice. The fruit is only subtly in the background and from the bitter category. The rum reminds me of old Armagnac on the palate. The ever-long aftertaste is clearly dominated by barrel and spice. I would have liked the fruits of the nose to reappear but so there is a certain break between nose and palate. The bitter notes, however, are not in the unpleasant range for my sensation. Regardless, an excellent, intense, powerful rum."

"Absolut geiler st Lucia vendome in rein form. Mega schöne Honig und Tropenfrucht Note. Akazienhonig , Weihrauch, kandierter Ingwer und getrocknete Mango Chips und Mirabellenkonfitüre. Quasi der ultimative sipping Vendome pot still st. Lucia! Könnte nur etwas mehr Dampf haben aber ich liebs! Danke Artur!"

My personal feeling, however, is that the New Vibrations is somewhat overpriced. There are considerably cheaper bottlings that are even better in taste."

"wow. despite the high alcohol content and the 19y incredibly horny fruity and harmonious.cherry, tangerine, allspice, vanilla, pineapple and extremely much menthol both on the nose and in the taste in absolute harmony. in addition, some fig, cherry Hubba bubba and cocoa nibs discreetly with maple syrup and wood and black pepper. If he was a tick less "burnt bitter" and woody, I would prefer but still a grenade!🤤❤️🇱🇨🥂"

"Un nez un peu volatil, estherisé, boisé et fruité. Une bouche un peu fermée, iodée avec quelque chose de maritime, pas très équilibrée. Une finale splendide sur l’orange. La meilleure partie de de rhum. Le verre vide est un peu déçevant avec un léger vinaigré. Un beau rhum malgré tout."

Nase: dunkle Schokolade, geröstete Kokoschips, Kräuter, Portwein, Toffee, Karamellbonbon, Banane, etwas Klebstoff, etwas Pappkarton, Kirsche Geschmack: Brutal lecker, Mokka, Zartbitterschokolade, Kardamom, kokos, Traube, Muskat, dörrpflaume, Portwein überall präsent, Bratäpfel, Banane, Zimtrinde, cassis... schöne Tannine und langer Abgang. "Un rhum goûté au Lucerne Gin and Rum Festival en 2024. Un nez marqué par les épices, le brûlé, du végétal, du goudron d’isolation et des fruits tropicaux dont la mangue. Les arômes emplissent de suite la bouche avec du rôti, de la colle, des épices avec du poivre et de la muscade. Un côté mentholé donne à ce rhum toute sa fraîcheur, fraîcheur qui persiste en finale avec un côté amer et poivré. Un rhum dégusté avec le sélectionneur de ce fût et il l’a trouvé spécialement atypique pour qu’il soit mis en bouteille pour la maison Hofer."

"Reiner Zuckerrohrsaft100% vendome Brennblase, hier war ich wirklich gespannt. Von Beginn an zeigt sich hier ein anderes Profil als man es aus St. Lucia kennt, wir haben Kräuter und Oliven, etwas Gummi Geschmack dazu gesellen sich ein paar Zitrusnoten, etwas Vanille. Schon ein spezielles Profil, was mich in seiner Eigentümlichkeit etwas an manchen Fiji denken lässt. Es wirkt auf mich aber noch eine Ecke komplexer. Der Rahmen stimmt hier, aber da ist noch Luft nach oben. Danke an Alex Kunath für das Sample, das war ein Augenöffner🥃"

"A rum between Spanish, French and English thanks to a hybrid distillation. Well balanced and not too intense with a pleasant caramel and never cloying thanks also to the barrel/oak aroma with a coffee, chocolate and lychee/mango finish giving it depth. Medium-long finish."

"The nose of this St. Lucia is beguiling. Sweet/sour fruits (berries), combined with caramel, wood and a little vanilla. Very promising. On the palate this play of aromas continues at first... but then it changes to the dark side. Extremely bitter, spicy and woody, it's quite chewy. You have to like it, it's a bit too much for me. Dried plums appear late in the finish"

"Ein guter Chairman mit typischen Profil, der sich gut für Rumtrinker eignet, die sich von Einsteigerrums entfernen wollen. Vor allem weil die Prozente eher reduziert sind, hat dieser Rum keine überwältigende Trockenheit und Schärfe am Gaumen wie manch anderer Chairman. Sicherlich besser als die Standardabfüllungen dieser Distillerie."
