"Recht würzig-fruchtiger Mauritius Rum mit 3y cognac finish. hat mir persönlich zu wenig Komplexität und zu wenig Ecken und Kanten. Schönes Zusammenspiel aus Gewürzen wie Zimt, Vanille Walnüssen und etwas Milchschokolade zusammen mit Traubengelee, roter Grütze und kandierten Birnen. Alkohol top eingebunden insgesamt mir persönlich dennoch etwas zu langweilig.... Da find ich den 11y alten CDI st aubin in Trinkstärke tatsächlich spannender."

"Sehr feiner, eigenständiger Rhum, der schon an der Nase seine Zuckerrohrsaftherkunft nicht verhehlen kann. Ein Rhum aus dem Jahr, in dem die Produktion aus Sugar Cane Juice auf Mauritius offiziell erstmals erlaubt wurde. Wird nicht mehr lange verfügbar sein. Leider (selbst in der Destillerie) zu einem Preis, der wehtut. Man sollte also den Rhum vor dem Kauf unbedingt verkostet haben."

"Incredibly awesome & super complex nose. Herbal tea, cherry candy, gingerbread & black pepper, burnt sawdust & coconut shavings.... Flavor then much drier than expected. Bit like salted nut butter, cold tea, em-eukal cherry!, raisins, dried cherries & currants, nutmeg and Williams pear barrel aged. Sau exciting, absolutely not too thin, extremely complex and intense. You just have to give it some time then it really shows what it can do!"

"Farbe: Kastanie Geruch: Sehr süß und aromatisch nach Lösungsmittel und vor allem Juicy Fruit Kaugummi. Aromen von Ananassaft, Bananensaft, Holz, Kaffee und Toffee. Recht lecker. Geschmack: Leicht und wäßrig im Mund, ölig, wird dann etwas würzig. Beim Schlucken mild und etwas würzig, holzig. Ausgesprochen nichtssagend. Abgang: Kurz, würzig, trocken, leicht bitter und kräuterig. 78 Punkte"

"Today a relaxed easy sipper. Balanced ratio between floral Agricole notes and the oloroso sherry finish. So the finish did the Agricole good. Not sweet, rather slightly musty-sour-smoky. Sounds worse than it tastes now 😉 It's not a burner, but it's not a failure either, just ideal for a weekday evening, no need to ponder it much. I like it! Nice pick of a previously unappreciated rhum."

"Die Lagerung hat dem Rhum einen ganz eigenen Stempel aufgedrückt. Der Alkohol ist trotz 40% noch präsent, nicht besonders unangenehm, aber doch spürbar. Das Mundgefühl ist vollmundig. Der Abgang zunächst fruchtig – herb und dann am Ende leicht holzig mit Vanille und Lakritz. Vorallem die Dörrfruchtaromen haben mich überrascht, weil ich diese in ihrer Ausprägung bei einem gelagerten Agricole nicht unbedingt erwartet habe. Die Assoziation zu einen Demarara liegt hier für mich näher als zum Agricole."
