"Very fresh with fruits and spices. Very light wood and lovely pastries on top. The final maturation in wine casks is there though very light. I will order a bottle as soon as my wallet has recovered from my last order 😊"

"Un Père Labat antique qui débutent avec de superbes notes de solvants atypiques, des arômes fruités très marqués sur les fruits tropicaux, les agrumes et les fruits secs, une trame végétale et florale subtile et des notes sucre brun, de toffee et de massepain complètent ce profil très équilibré et complexe. L’attaque en bouche est tournée vers les épices et le profil végétal et floral, du cuir, de l’amertume et des fruits très en retrait. L’alcool est très bien intégré. La finale, très longue, poursuit la trame terreuse avec les notes de tabac et de thé, les épices, l’amertume, les noix et le chocolat noir. Un rhum complet, intense et complexe qui fait partie des raretés de Marie-Galante."

"This is a really nice release and I have tried a few of the white rums from Labat and most of them are really good. This one has a very fresh profile with an intense and dry profile. It needs time to rest before it releases all its flavours. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and I like the empty glass where the honey note gets even stronger. Price to quality is very good in my mind."

"Overall a great, smooth and round Agricole especially when taking the low age into consideration, that I tasted at Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2023. This rum is a distillate from the Poisson distillery in Marie Galante distilled in their Creole Column. First it’s tropical aged for 4 years in Bourbon barrels on the island. Thereafter it’s picked up by the sailing freighter Tres Hombres in 2023 to get separately finished onboard in Porto Tawny and Pedro Ximenez barrels during 5 months at sea before blended and bottled in 2615 bottles."

"#4048 This is also a really good release. Very intense profile and it needs to rest for a good while before the flavours are mellow. Dry and lightly fruity with a nice roasted note. I like the natural sweetness of the profile. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some iodine and light licorice."

"#4558 19.01.2024 Got a set of samples from a former colleague in Sweden and today I'll give them a go. My tastebuds are still hyper sensitive, which can be both good and bad. A very nice and medium intense Agricole with nice fruits. The palate is medium dry and fresh. The finish is medium to long and medium dry with nice citrus and honey. The empty glass has stronger Agricole notes to it and I'd say it smells green ☺️ I have a nice selection of Pere Labat and I really like them because the bar is high and the price is really good."

"#4706 21.04.2024 Relaxing a little bit today. Nose Intense, fresh, sugarcane, fruits, citrus, light vegetal, faint smoke. Palate Intense, warm, oily, sugarcane, light metallic, faint smoke, fruits, citrus, spicy, light olive, light salt. Finish Long and warm, oily, citrus, light vegetal, light olive, faint licorice. Draws nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some mint, grass and grapes. Price to quality is very good in my mind."
