"Very nice bottling out of the New Yarmouth 2009 range with high intensity on the nose and palate. Classic cookie dough notes with sweetness and some fruits. For me actually even a bit better than the RA single cask bottling."

"The almost 3 years more in the barrel have done the rum in my opinion very good. Alcohol is almost perfectly integrated. Clearly smoother and quaffable as the two predecessors of RA and in my opinion also more intense typical cookie dough note, plus baking spices, lots of pineapple and banana bread and minimal citrus notes and light roast flavors. Wood is clearly perceived more intense but at no point too much. Probably the best thing CDI has brought out in a long time! And also in the Mai Tai he topped the two RA's again clearly because the additional wood here simply brings more harmony purely. Mega delicious just!"

"Extreme good delicious rum! In the nose it‘s like a rum from Barbados/Foursquare. Alcohol is integrated very well. Update: One of the NW 1994 I’ve tasted. It needs at least of 30 min to fully open up and a few drops of water helps too."

"Schöne Messeabfüllung, die einen rundum gelungenen Rum darstellt. In der Nase habe Ich viel Karamell, aber auch muffige Holztöne, wie bei alten Armagnacs aus feuchten Kellern. Im Mund dann Parallelen zum Rum Nation Clarendon 1991 (RX 1012). Das Sherry Fass kommt sehr dezent durch, aber dennoch spürbar. Ansonsten die üblichen Eichenholz/Vanille-Töne mit etwas roten Früchten. Toller süffiger, fast leichter Gesamteindruck trotz der hohen %%. Viel Fasseinfluss ohne zu bitter zu sein durch die hohe Lagerung. Im Abgang schön lang und fördert den Speichelfluss. Alles in allem fehlt mir aber noch ein Aha-Moment mit dem Rum. Er ist sehr gut gearbeitet und toll ausgesucht, aber nichts woran Ich mich in einer Woche erinnern werden. Gerechtfertigtes PLV mit tollem Flaschendesign."

"This one is really good and the ABV has been integrated really well. Once rested you barely get the 58.3%. Fresh and fruity with light cinnamon and lovely wood. Kind of sweet on the palate."

"Once rested this is really nice and hits really well on both the nose and palate. An intense yet really well balanced rum and the nose was was really nice in the empty glass. Even the day after the glass gave some wonderful notes."

"This is a pretty good rum but I'd say the price is a bit high. You can get the same quality from New Yarmouth cheaper out there. Leave it to rest for a while for the flavours to really develop. The nose is fruity with spices, nuts and wood as well as a hint of varnish. The palate is complex, well balanced and oily with fruits, wood, nuts, caramel and vanilla. The finish is medium to long with fruits, wood and caramel."

"A nose of overripe banana, pear, mirabelle plum and light wood. The palate has a soft attack, then is immediately full-bodied. The freshness is astonishing, with noble vanilla rounding out the picture. The finish is quite long, with acidic fruit and light oak. The empty glass is a fine summary of this interesting, well-balanced rum."

"Edit: Die letzten Reste im MaiTai probiert (immer wieder angefixt durch SaibotZtar), mal nicht im CubaLibre. Klasse Mixer!!! Im Glas zum Blindtasting waren folgende 94er New Yarmouth Das vorläufige Ergebnis 1. RX10164 2. RX12050 3. RX12183 4. RX10531 5. RX16026 6. RX10419 7. RX13113 8. RX10167 9. RX15643 10. RX10204 11. RX12556 12. RX12841 13. RX9617 14. RX1563 15. RX16027 16. RX12161 17. RX13824 18. RX6983 Bei der Einzelverkostung find ich ihn ziemlich lecker. Fast zu lecker. Nichts anderes hätte ich von einem 94er New Yarmouth erwartet. Es ist einfach immer noch mein Lieblingsprofil. Muss sich hinter seinen Konkurrenten nicht verstecken. Ein großes Crosstesting muss noch erfolgen. Edit: nachdem ich ihn länger stehen hatte, ist im Geschmack super die Milchschokolade erkennbar, die sich cremig, geschmedig am Gaumen legt. Einfach nur lecker! Nach oben deswegen korriegiert."
