"With this rum you get bang for your buck. Lots of flavour in a well balanced rum at a nice ABV. Fruity and sweet as it always is with Malecon and also the wood and spices. I'm not sure, but I think I sensed a hint of leather in there as well Price to quality is very good."

"One more great rum from Malecon. I really like the Rare Proof series. This one is a little stronger than the 20yo which gives it an significant character. The thing with this series that makes them so pleasant is the richness and that they balance the sweetness with the rather high ABV."

"Spices are on the prime with this one. Not the typicak ,,sweet spiced rum,, but rather a classic rum with really spicy taste sort of pinches you in the toungue and nose. Not bad but not great either. Retaste: I am not fond of this one. Feels a lottle diluted and overly spicy."

"Though it has a short finish it's still a pretty good rum. I have all of the releases on my shelf and this is the most recent one. Ligh and well balanced rum with a touch of oak and vanilla. In the back i find nuttyness and tobacco. "

"A retasting dropped som points. ----( We had a private tasting with a Malecon representative yesterday and had a great evening. This is a lovely rum and the finish is lightly dry and bitter in a good way so I think this one could be a hit with whisky lovers."
