"This is a true masterpiece well worth the 100 score and also the high price tag. Though it has a very high proof, which you of corse can taste, it explodes in your mouth. A very long and complex finish that just keeps going. "

"This is an exceptional rum from Jamaica. Pretty different from what you would expect from a Jamaican. This rum doesn't get the credit it's worth and I think Jamaica rum lovers should give it a go. Price to quality is extremely good. "

"Still primarily with fresh fruit on the nose, more complex aromas then emerge on the palate. Pastry notes, spices and barrel aromas are added to the tropical fruit potpourri. Nice complexity and balance, even the alcohol strength fits the distillate very well in my eyes - neither too brute nor too thin. Successful!"

"A Long Pond as rare as it is delicious. The nose is very harmonious. There's a fine balance between fruit (pineapple, banana, mango, orange), pastry and sweet notes, spices and phenols (ester, glue, nail polish). The palate is lively and intense with exotic fruits (banana, pineapple, papaya, orange zest, kumquat), esters (nail polish and glue present despite this being only a VRW mark) and spices (ginger, vanilla), with a touch of wood and floral, mentholated freshness. Despite the astringency, the profile is fresh and balanced, complex and appealing, to the delight of the taste buds.the finish is long, warm, with spicy notes, accompanied by esters, leather, acid fruits (lime, bitter orange) and menthol. A very complete rum that demonstrates the depth and breadth of Long Pond's expertise."

"Schöner feiner Klebstoff in der Nase. Tropische Früchte wie Papaya. Leichte Zitrusnoten mit der Süße von Rosinen. Würzigkeit von Liebstöckel. Sehr angenehm und rund. Am Gaumen erst trocken und adstringent, leicht süß-bitter-salzig, Honig-Süße ist da. Dann kommt eine nussig-würzige Mandel-Anis Kombo und gleichzeitig Fruchtaromen wie Orangenschale und Ananas. Hinten raus Liebstöckel und - endlich auch - Banane. Mein erster Jamaika-Rum, Lange unentdeckt hinten im Regal. Aber er war immer etwas besonderes für mich. Nun ist die Flasche leer. Sehr sehr schade denn es war ein sehr sehr schöner Rum."

"A rum tasted at the WLP. A nose of marzipan and glue with dried fruit. On the palate, there's glue, vegetal notes and quite a bit of bitterness. The finish is long on wood and dried fruit. A fine rum, but disappointing in direct comparison with WLP's HLCF."

"die lange Reifung bringt hier die Fassnoten auf sehr harmonische Weise rüber: an der Nase Gewürznelke, Vanille, Kokosnuss. Am Gaumen: Lakritze, röstige Noten, dunkle Schokolade und Trockenfrüchte. Gefällt mir gut!"

"Deuxième cuvée officielle de Long Pond, ce rhum sait faire parler ses atouts. Très élégant, le nez assemble parfaitement les notes d’esters et de vernis à ongles aux fruits exotiques et aux fruits rouges, le tout arrondi par le massepain, des épices douces et un boisé bien fondu. En bouche, une véritable concentration aromatique se forme sur les fruits tropicaux : banane, ananas, fruit de la passion, papaye, sans oublier les agrumes (zestes de citron) s’expriment librement. Le boisé épicé et les esters sont ici plus en retrait. L’alcool est très bien intégré. La finale, relativement longue, reprend la main avec les esters, le vernis, le boisé aux épices parfumées et les fruits exotiques. Un très bon rhum sur le papier, qui a tout pour plaire à un détail près : le prix, ici stratosphérique et incohérent pour une cuvée pareil."
