"Un rhum génial ! Ce clairin de trois ans est déjà superbe : on retrouve le caractère du clairin blanc (viande, fumé, rôti, esters) mais un poil adouci. Je serais très curieux de voir ce qu'un Rocher entre 5 et 8 ans pourrait donner."

"Number 6 from the community tasting. Thanks Rumtata! Jamaica from Haiti - blindly I would have packed this into the Mid-East range from Trewlany. The rum is fruity and very round. This is delicious, but also a bit unspectacular because the Clairin-specific but very much in the background."

"Vergebt mir, aber blind hätte ich beim Geruch Stein und Bein geschworen, dass es ein Jamaicaner ist, Ester-Alarm! Am Gaumen klärt sich das aber ganz schnell: kein Ester, dafür prägnante Rauchnote. Gefällt mir trotzdem gut. Abgang etwas zu kurz. Update 2022-11-30: Heute an der Nase eine anziehende Balance aus Süße und Rauch (2 Punkte Aufwertung), dafür am Gaumen säuerlich-heuig (2 Punkte Abwertung). Es bleibt also bei 83 Punkten. Solide Sache, dieser Clairin."

"Comparative series of ansyans Clairins. Quite a rough nose with medicine, whiskey, vegetal and a bit of oil. A surprisingly smooth mouthfeel when I was expecting a lot of strength. Vegetal and caramel. The finish is quite long and dominated by smoked/coated whisky. A very good rum but the rum and whisky flavours collide a bit without finding harmony."

"Série comparative de Clairins ansyens. Ici aussi du whisky presque pur au nez avec du fumé mais aussi de la douceur. En bouche des tannins boisés. Moins complexe que Le Rocher 21 mois (47,7%). La finale est belle mais aussi très typée whisky. Ce rhum pourrait même passer pour un whisky. Nous préférons tous les finitions ex-rhum aux finitions ex-whisky. Regouté et l‘impression est la même. Merci Dr. Django pour les samples."
