"This is not a bad rum, but I would have loved a higher ABV. The nose is grassy with fruits and spices as well as some wood. I get mostly apple here. The palate is spicy/peppery with grass and fruit in the front trailed by vanilla, wood, leather and a light herbal note. The finish is medium long and warm with wood, spices and fruits."

"The emotion of drinking an aged rum, even if it has spent most of its life in the bottle. A very dry nose with a slight earthiness and vanilla. Lots of finesse and elegance throughout. Tropical fruit on the palate, pineapple and banana. A surprisingly long finish, with sugarcane and fruit. I'm sure the rum continues to evolve in bottle. A little behind the Courcelles 1972 at 47% and 54%, which have a broader aromatic palette, I'd take one point off."

"It's not very often you can try old rums so whenever I get the chance without costing me an arm and a leg I'll give it a go. Old doesn't always mean good, but I did like this one. In the beginning it was very light on the nose but after a few minutes it started to develop. The profile has light wood and saltiness to it as well as an olorosso/oxidised note. Considering the age pretty good overall."

"#4032 This is a really nice glass as well and the price tag is more than justified in my mind. Fruity with nice spicy profile and pretty well balanced ABV and wood. Fresh ans lightly oily in the palate. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and I can pick up some chocolate and herbal notes in the empty glass."

"Decided to have a sip today and picked this one from the shelf of Agricole. A very good rum Agricole from Martinique. It has a wonderful Agricole nose and a spicy well balanced palate. The finish is very long and spicy with a tad of toffee. Typical Martinique rum at a very good price tag. If you like Agricole rums this one is definitely a must try. "
