"Is often called the King of Hampden - and especially in direct comparison with other representatives of the already extremely exciting 1993 vintage, the outstanding quality becomes more than clear. The balance can only be described as famos - here nothing negative stands out: overripe fruits meet vanilla, caramel sweetness, dark spices and light roasted aromas. Superb!"

"I am incredibly grateful to be able to drink this sample. Thank you @ Saibot Ztar. I was hoping the 94 would drop and it would beat the Nobilis 93. But alas, on both the palate and the nose, it's not enough. 92 is still legendary...but I expected even more. In direct comparison with the TRC30 for me on par."

"Sampling this one right now and I have to admit that it's one of the most well balanced rums I have ever tried when it comes to ABV integration.Very fruity and lovely funk from nose to finish. There is a slight roasting note on the finish that I like a lot.Wonderful rum that is virtually impossible to get.Put my nose in the glass today and the smoke is very strong today :-)"

"Little 1990 C<>H cross-tasting with 2x RA, RC Ed. 5, TWJ and TRC. Honestly, quite hard for me to chose a winner out of the TRC, first RA and first RC… The first RA also is an outstanding bottling of the 1990 vintage. Side-by-side the RA comes with a little twist towards more herbal notes and little less fruity notes. Also very good staff."

"27.03.2021 A nice Velier tasting thanks to my friend Cheng from Singapore. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint smoke, fruity, light polish, faint grass, light floral, faint chocolate. Palate Warm, wood, light smoke, fruity, pineapple, light caramel, faint chocolate, light olive, faint salt, light floral. Finish Medium long and warm, wood, pineapple, faint chocolate, light floral, spice. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while or the ABV will cover the full experience."

"Brine, old cooking fat, nail polish remover, fermented fruit. What doesn't sound very tempting is a finely balanced, highly complex wealth of aromas that make up a high-quality rum. Astringency just tolerable, but too much acidity in the finish for me. Therefore not top of the league for me."

"RumX Day10: What a treat! This Hampden is once again absolutely top! It has a balanced maturity and is not as impetuous as many others, without denying its origin! All the expected flavors are represented, just a little more mature and subtle! Great Tasting evening with Dr. Django: Can only confirm my assessment of danals, first class bottling"

"Classic high ester Hampden 😍 Lovely funky nose of ester, glue, nail polish, fruit basket and a bit of wood. Funky, dry, delicious in nose where you’ll find all the notes again. Very smooth finish. Alcohol is integrated very well. The wood is integrated in a nice way and never become rampant. Unfortunately hard to find now… the price tag exploded too…"

"RumX Awards 2023 and re-tasted 6 months later. Despite its age, the esters are very present without dominating. Buttery, nicely acidic, lemony, overripe banana, grilled bacon and yellow fruit make up a nose that remains balanced despite its complexity. The attack is lively and explosive, with fat (butter) tempering the fire and fruit filling the mouth. Yellow fruit (pear and apple) and young wood. The finish is long, elegant and fresh. No flaws here, everything is clean and precise. The wood is perfectly integrated. The fruit remains right to the end. In the empty glass, you discover an unprecedented sweetness, with the wood clearly perceptible. The favorite rum of this top RumX selection."

"WoW what an amazing rum 😍 The best of Hampden i ever had in the glass, so far. Nose: Wonderfull synergy of funk, ester, trop. fruits and glue. Mouth: The alcohol is perfectly integrated🫠Very delicious, balanced, complex rum, some nice lovely notes of overripe fruits and pineapple. Finish: Is quite long and fruity with some notes of the barrel with a lightly astringency. 🤤🤤"

"#4695 07.04.2024 Relaxing with a few samples. Nose Intense, balanced, glue, fruity, pineapple, ester, earthy, faint chocolate, light wood. Palate Intense, balanced, light salt, fruity, light citrus, faint earthy, pineapple, ester, spicy, light roasted wood. Finish Very long and spicy, light roasted wood, vegetal, pineapple. The empty glass has stronger glue and also melon notes. Very good ABV integration and overall good balance."
