"An interesting nose with lots of influence from the red wine cask. Plenty of dark red fruits with some oaty biscuits and big floral punches. A little sweetness but mainly dry. Velvety roasted praline appears first in the palate. The red wine cask is still prominent, lots of tannins and clove. The finish is quite long, an earthy cigar note lingers with some dark caramel. A nice rum, the wine cask makes it interesting. Definitely needs some water to open it up before sipping."

"Nosing brings associations to Barbados ester. Both nosing and taste has very nice elements of fruits and light wood. I would have like to find the ester funch in the tasting to. All in all a well balanced Madeira rum."
