Top review from RumTaTa:
"Second tasting: the nose is the hammer, very similar to the '95! On the palate then a dream, incredibly creamy and the alcohol excellently integrated, there is the '95 much sharper (+1). In the nose first resin and cough syrup, very complex! Palate: surprisingly mild, excellent integrated alcohol, strong spicy and again very complex. The medicinal notes are in the foreground. Aftertaste: the rum fades very slowly. The medicinal and grassy notes prevail. The medicinal character dominates the rum and makes it something special, top!"

"You will smell a lot of lovely notes of leather, banana, pineapple, prunes, prunes… all of them you‘ll find in the mouth too. The alcohol and also the wood is integrated very well! The finish is long, dry with a dominant taste o mocha.. lie behind and enjoy! Update: After ca. 30 minutes of rest the rum open up completely. A bit more smell of the barrel, honey, cedar wood. It mouth there is less spice and more fruity/floral. There are so many different tastes 😍 Amazing experience. Unfortunately it’s to expensive now…"

"If you like Bellevue then this is one of the really good ones. Price to quality was great at release. The nose is intense and fruity with wood, cinnamon, honey and herbal notes after resting for more than 15 minutes. The palate is both intense, complex and well balanced with fruit, honey and leather with light candied, chocolate and herbal notes. The finish is extremely long with dried fruit, wood, leather, honey and herbal notes. Leave the empty glass for a few hours and whiff it again to get the full experience."

Top review from cigares :
"A discovery! A nose of varnished wood, banana, carambola, cinnamon stick and spices. A frank attack on the palate, but the alcohol never takes over. The aromas develop harmoniously: applesauce/banana, yellow fruit, pink grapefruit with a hint of herbs. A very complex wine. The finish is long, with all the aromas present. A delicious, expressive and complex rum with perfectly integrated alcohol. It's noted as being made from cane juice, but I think it must be made from molasses too. Tasted again and still as good, balance being the key here."

"This one can play with the 1989 that I also have. Overall another great rum from this destillery. The nose is fruity with vanilla and coffee in the front and caramel, barrel a bit of tar in the back. The palate is complex and well balanced with fruits and spices. There is a wonderful smoky oak feel to it. In the back i get chocolate and nuts. The finish is long and fruity with coffee and smoked oak."

"Enjoying this one right now while preparing for the big Whisky and Rum Event tomorrow. One of my favourite Damoiseau's because of the overall profile and very well integrated ABV. ------- I got this bottle a little over a month ago and I've sipped it a few times. It is now one of my favourite Agricoles. The nose has lots of wonderful spices mixed with fruit, wood and some leather. The Agricole is definitely there and some grassy notes The palate is elegant and complex with spices, chocolate and a sprinkle of banana. Dry warm Agricole in my mind, yummy. The finish is long and warm with orange, wood and vegetal notes. You should rest this nice rum for at least 15vminutes before giving it a go."

"Just got a bottle at a very good discount. One of the perks of being a big private collector. Just did a retaste. The nose is really nice and it's there from pouring it's just tickling your nose from afar. It start off very fruity with orange/lemon dominating. Then descends into wood and smoke. A very nice nose indeed. The palate is surprisingly warm the proof considered, but it is a disappointment because the flavours get mixed up and I think this one would have benefitted from a higher proof. Not as fruity and slightly tannin/tea bitter. The finish is medium long and woody/fruity."

"Wow, a stroke of luck. Old bottle, cork in the rum, everything looked like a mistake. But I was able to filter the rum and the taste is spot on. Certainly on a par with the 18 brothers of these legendary 80s Damoiseaus. Again balanced, earthy, floral."

"This rum is really nice and I just had to go for seconds. The nose is well balanced with a mixture of grass, vanilla, fruits and a mixture of wood. The palate is balanced and complex with spices, fruit and flowery/Agricole touch to it. Chocolate and wood finishes the experience. The finish is medium long primarily cinnamon and tobacco with a bit of candy and grass to it. "

"18.11.2023 Another retasting and I stick to my initial score ☺️ --------- Price to quality is very good on this particular rum. The nose is fruity with pastries, spices trailed by llightly roasted wood and caramel. Almost like walking into a bakery on a Sunday morning. The palate is oily and well balanced between the wood, fruits and spices. The finish is long, warm and lightly dry with wood, spices and dried fruit."

Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Damoiseau Blanc 55 is produced by the Bellevue distillery on the island Grande-Terre in Guadeloupe not to be confused with Habitation Bellevue in Marie Galante. This rum has an ABV of around 88% after the column distillation, thereafter its aged for 2 to 6 months in oak casks whereafter it’s diluted and bottled at 55%. Tested it in a Ti Punch some days ago and it made a perfect one."

Top review from Stefan Persson:
"This Agricole, from the Bellevue distillery, distilled in 2009 have been aged for a minimum of 7 years in former bourbon casks of American oak before reduced to ABV 42% and bottled. The year 2009 is said to have given a harvest of cane rich in sugar in Guadeloupe. Overall a very round Agricole, maybe too round. It would have been interesting to taste its brother at ABV 66,9% also aged for 7 years and from 2009."

"La Route des Rhums Adventdkalender 2023 No. 21. Hier jetzt ein weißer Agricole von Damoiseau. Typisch Agricole, hat eine fruchtig, florale und frische Nase. Am Gaumen dann ebenfalls, nur finde ich die 69% sind etwas zuviel, er kommt zu alkoholisch rüber."

"A nice nose, woody but yet elegant, it's completely lacking of complexity when sipped. A bit disappointing when comparing with other single vintage, but I think it's a matter of low ABV, would be nice to know what would have been at an higher proof"
