"I usually don't really like these sugared Spanish-style rums and I even doubt that the age statements of the Malteco rum-line can be trusted but the 'vintages' from them are very, very tasty and I like them a lot. Update: Now too thin for me, good daily sipper though."

"Strong candy-like nose, smells so artificial that it makes you think of Don Papa. But this is supposed to come only from the sherry cask. After all, the rum was stored in it for the entire 9 years. Very sweet"

"Not necessarily much worse than the 12 year old. It has vanilla and caramel on the nose and palate. It also tastes relatively sweet. But within limits. Hardly any difference to the 12 year old."

"nice rum. compared to tbe 10yo, the distinct smoky panama flavor is much less prominent here, which is disappointing. on the other hand its a little smoother and fruitier. I still prefer the 10yo,especially as its also cheaper"

"I received this as a small sample and I must say it's not too bad. For fans of rum raisin, it's very pleasant. Of course, there's probably some added sugar in there, but still, well-integrated alcohol. In my opinion, a pretty good easy sipper. There are a lot of Spanish ones on the market, but they're not as good as this one."

"I really like Panama Rum and its typical roasted flavour. It is very present in this Rum, which is also rather sweet. Those flavors are actually even much stronger here than in the 15 yo, which is more fruity and smooth though. Value for money is amazing, also great for cocktails."

"Ich finde diesen Rum auch ganz okay. Schmeckt vielleicht einen Ticken zu süss. Auf jeden Fall kan man Vanille und Karamell rausschmecken, aber wie gesagt, etwas zu süss. Aber mit Cola gemischt schmeckt er bestimmt top."

"Ja der ist echt nicht gut, die Durchschnittsbewertung trifft hier zu :-) Jedenfalls eine sehr alkoholischen Nase, auch Schokolade kommt zum Vorschein. Finde ihn am Gaumen dann zu süss (Schokolade und Kaffee), auch sehr alkoholisch und zu kräftig."
