"The rum needs some water, otherwise it is too strong and a touch unbalanced. Sugar cane, brioche, great integrated wood maturity, tobacco. Very nice, pronounced peach notes. In the mouth complex spice bazaar. The finish is ultra great. Very nice licorice. A great, mature Bielle. Highest craftsmanship, powerful and perfectly balanced."

"WoW what a great rum 🫨 Nose: Sugarcane, honey, fruity, dried apricot, pear, nutty, roasted, a lot of glue paired with a bit of rubber🤤 yummy Mouth: citrus notes, some delicious fresh coconuts, dried apricots, glue, cinnamon, licorice, oak and dark chocolate. The alcohol is integrated perfectly! Finish: Quite long, dry and delicious!"

"A very fresh nose. Camphor, glue, polish, then with a little breathing it becomes less. Fresh fruit (citrus, apricot and especially peach can be detected). Some oak. Crisp and complex. A few drops of water bring out cookie dough and macaroons.In the mouth then very crisp, keeps changing until swallowed.The finish is very nice and long.A very good complex Bielle, the typical fruitiness and the typical licorice are withdrawn. In return there is a pronounced minerality and freshness."

"RumX-Adventskalender 25.12.2023 Blind tasting: Jamaica on the nose, really old Guyana on the palate. Another blend? I'm at a bit of a loss. But very happy with this rum, it's a lip-smacker! 😋 😋 😋 The fact that it's a Bielle in the end doesn't speak against my sense of taste, but in favor of these exquisite agricoles."

"An absolute beast of an agricole Blanc. The 64% is noticeable but overall well integrated. On the nose pure sugar cane with this Guadeloupe partly typical medicinal mineral note and little fruit. Then on the palate pure sugar cane, some tart honeycomb, pear, bitter orange, bitter licorice and vanilla bean without the core. The finish warm and heavy and slightly bitter medicinal. Not quite mine neat but in ti punch it shows what it can do. Heavy, thick and oily, the licorice is suddenly gone and Williams pear and ginger and honeycomb emerge instead. Very tasty!"

"Wieder mal ein Destillat, das an Nase und Gaumen sehr verschieden daherkommt. Ich rieche Aprikosen, aber schmecke eindeutig frische Pilze, Champignons. Mit Sicherheit ein handwerklich sehr guter Rhum, aber am Gaumen einfach nicht so ganz meinen Geschmack treffend."

"Un très bon rhum, très bien fait. Vivacité des arômes, cohérence en bouche. Finale courte néanmoins et je suis un peu déçu par rapport à sa réputation… et son prix actuel. Il manque des watts. J’espère pouvoir goûter un jour la version intégrale."

"I almost feel bad putting such a low score compared to the other members, but I find that the pepper and wood take up too much space even though the agricultural framework and its freshness are still present. I'm a little disappointed, especially for a €100 bottle 🙃 30/04: I'm going to leave the rum in the bottle for a while to see if the oxidation does it any good Update 21/12/21: ca y est le bois s'est apaisé avec la bouteille aux 3/4 et des arômes très pâtissiers sont apparus. A real pleasure."

"To start off, this is a very good Agricoles of you look at the price tag and quality. The nose starts off hard with grass and oak and then you get sweet honey notes mixed with fruit and a pinch of vanilla. A typical Agricole range of flavours. The palate continues where the nose left off. Lightly sweet honey with grass and oak, this is followed by fruits, vanilla and chocolate. A complex and well balanced rum. The finish is medium long with smoky oak, vanilla and raisin."

"Retasting this one today and I stick to my initial score. Typical Agricole with fruits, floral and fresh grass notes. You gat all the flavours as soon as you open the bottle. Leave for 15 minutes and then nose it. Leave the glass for a few hours after finishing it and it's even better on the nose. Price to quality is extremely good."

"A friend takes out this bottle he brought back from Guadeloupe. It's bielle, it's good, it's quite smooth with a nice sweetness. I don't think the sweet wine barrel is necessary, as it adds extra sweetness. I prefer classic Bourbon aging."

"More wood and less almond on the nose than the 45% version. More serious, very dignified, very nice. Mega cool in the mouth. Full, dense, lots of honey. The finish could be a little longer. The closest taste to the Bielle standard (Brut de fut 20XX), without reaching the class of the Liberation series. The 2020 does not disappoint. It's in line with the 2012, but my favorite remains the 2015 with its sunny disposition."

"Hier ein leckerer Bielle von 2016. Schöne Nase bestehend aus Gewürzen. Riecht aber auch sehr frisch und Honig ist ebenfalls zu erkennen. Am Gaumen dann sehr holzig und fassig. Noch dazu ist hier Nuss und dunkle Schokolade zu erkennen."

Dans la droite ligne de ce que sait produire Bielle. Édit : nouvelle dégustation et le nez est vraiment très agréable. Une sensation de solvant qui ne m'était pas apparue initialement. Beaucoup d'épices. Vraiment typique. Vraiment réussi."

"Tasted this single cask Bielle Agricole at the Sweden (Stockholm) Rumfest 2024 during an masterclass held by Excellence Rhum. It’s distilled in 2012 and aged in Marie-Galante for 10 years in an ex-Sherry cask before bottled by Excellence Rhum at its natural proof at 54,8% in just 280 bottles. The nose is elegant, spicy, oily and fruity with aroma notes of cigar and cherry. At the palate it’s smooth, delicious and elegant with flavors of fruits, plum and some menthol. The finish is long and delicious with notes of fruits and spices."

"La Route des Rhums Adventskalender 2023 Nr. 11. Hier ein Bielle Agricole mit 58% ABV. Auch ein sehr Zitrusfruchtlastiger Agricole, wie immer eigentlich. Kommt in der Nase frisch daher, nur ich finde man merkt den Alkohol zu sehr, aber alles in allem sehr gut."

"Hard to describe. Reminds me somehow of sambuca or ouzo because of the licorice and anise / fennel notes. Overall rather sweet salty and slightly bitter. Alcohol is not particularly disturbing but the basic flavor is just not my thing. In ti punch then something like pear and fig comes to the fore, as well as salty peanuts. Quite nice but I do not have to have again."

"A well-crafted, well-structured aged rum. The nose, with its minty, vegetal freshness, woody notes and dried and nutty fruits, is slightly lifted by sweet spices for a harmonious, pleasing whole. On the palate, the attack is darker, carried by wood, leather, spices and toasted, toasted notes. A touch of dried fruit and an agricultural, vegetal influence form the background. The result is a fairly dry rum with a nice roundness, easily approachable and gourmet. The finish, of decent length, displays the sweetness of cane and fruit, the dryness of wood and spices, and the roundness of floral notes. A very respectable entry-level rum offering a profile that's both easy-drinking and evolving."

"Für nur ein Jahr Reifung intensive Aromen. Riecht nach Holz, Karamell, Zitrusmarmelade aber auch frisch pflanzlich bisschen Eukalyptus. Im Geschmack die gleichen Aromen wie in der Nase plus eine gewisse süße. Leckere Abfüllung mit intensiven Geschmack, gefällt mir gut. Gekauft 2023 in Bordeaux. Hätte blind nie auf ein Jahr Reifung getippt, sondern eher VSOP."
