Madeira Rum
Top review from cigares :
"A very floral, unusual nose, with candied fruit cake, light varnish, rose and vegetal notes. Full-bodied on the palate, with a balance of fruity, floral notes and fine oak. A fairly long finish where the rose 🌹 stands out and finishes on notes of passion fruit. In the empty glass, woody aromas stand out. A very fine rum. Thanks Rodolphe for the sample."
970 Madeira Wine Cask Edition 2021
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"First a bit off-putting on the nose because it smells of sweat🤣but then after some time it becomes juniper, musty pear, honey, chocolate and cinnamon cookies. Barrel notes rather restrained and very elegant!"

"#4921 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, light wood, light nutts, vegetal, light salt, light sugarcane, raisins. Palate Warm, dry, medium spicy, light wood, faint roasted, fruits, raisin, herbal, light salt, spice, light grass. Finish Long and warm, dry, light wood, light prunes, medium spicy, faint salt, raisin. This is a pretty good release and the price is OK. If you add a few drops of water it opens up a lot and releases more flavours."

Top review from HenryL:
"Pleasant smell, for me dominates a fresh note paired with wood and some fruit. An incredible mouthfeel, super soft and pleasantly oily. Fruity notes are in the foreground in the taste, out the back comes some menthol to it.The nose is good, the taste the hammer!"
970 Edition
Top review from Vincent D:
"I have a problem with this rum: I can't decide whether I like it or not. Every time I taste it, I get a new impression. The nose is always more or less the same: grapes, wood, spices. You can tell it's an agricultural wine. On the palate, the grape is very present. The woodiness is strong. The rum is dry and heavy. It's halfway between an agricole and some of Guyana's molasses. But I often find it very unpleasantly bitter. The bitterness of grape skins. It's frustrating because when I don't have that sensation, I love its power. The rum clearly benefits from VERY long aeration. Edit: very woody and bitter finish. Decidedly, hard to make up one's mind. Edit edit: oxidation is this bottle's friend! Edit edit edit: farewell. I would have loved you anyway! That woody farmer!"

"Horny shit. Only 3y old and so delicious, mild and complex! Horny balanced by the alcohol content, dirty and intense after dark in butter baked popcorn, plus dark chocolate cookies with red fruits, dates and lots of spices. Neat tannins and sulfur, as well as toasted barrel notes and salted pretzels and again buttered popcorn round out the whole. Very awesome! For me, an absolute board. Makes an incredibly horny old fashioned and Mai Tai🤤 for me probably the absolute benchmark as far as rum from Madeira is concerned!"
970 Cask Strength Edition (Madeira Brandy Cask)
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall a quite interesting Agricole with lots of burnt rubber in aromas and flavors that’s very different from the Caribbean Agricole’s. This rum, a 970 Madeira Brandy Cask, is produced by Engenhos do Norte in Madeira. It’s a 7yo Brut de Fut distilled in 2016 produced in a total of 3652 numbered bottles."
970 Cask Strength Edition
Top review from Galli33:
"So, let's go to Madeira. The rum is very well balanced and good to drink. Great notes of baked apple, raisins, grapes and prunes. The alcohol is well integrated. Unfortunately, the rum could not convince me (btw. Madeira is not among my favorites)"
970 Single Cask Edition
Top review from Rowald Sweet Empire:
"A very thick and woody 970 rum. French oak soaked with madeira wine. It's very prominent. I do get a hint of it's agricole base. Lots of winterly spices. Whiff of menthol. Cherries and black currants (dryish). Pretty good. Retry: almost like an old sherry cask. Dried raisins. Currants. Still very very good."

"#19th dec RumXCalendar Blind tasting: Nose: licorice, dark chocolate, coconut Mouth: caramel, coconut, roasted, dark chocolate, vanilla, barrel notes Finish: long, woody, roasted, barrel notes I enjoyed it, but couldn’t find any notes of the port wine cask :/ I think it should be from Antigua ca.60% 6 years of aging"
Rhum Agricole
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"Blind könnte man fast an Himbeergeist denken vor allem bei der Nase. Selten so ein intensiv beeriges Aroma bei Agricole. Erlebt. Absolut außergewöhnlich! Extrem rund und mild durch Minimum 2 Jahre im Stahltank. 👌🏽"
Madeira Rum
Top review from Rodolphe:
"Et bien voila de nouveau une belle bouteille de chez Le Gus't qui est un super rapport prix/plaisir. Un Agricole bien marqué par un fût de Madère avec un coté vineux liquoreux mais très bien dosé et qui n'écoeure absolument pas. Le nez est particulièrement agréable d'ailleurs. Belle découverte."
Rum Agricola de Madeira Distilled in Pot Still (Limited Release)
Top review from Artur Schönhütte:
"It seems weird how all of these newer pot still rums have these weird olive water note. This one manages to hold its weirdness down, because not everything can be Paranubes. Still it is rather pleasent."
Rum Agricola da Madeira
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"It’s a great Rhum being so young that I really can recommend.By the way is the Agricole’s from Madeira the only ones outside the French Overseas Departments that’s widely recognized as true Agricole’s."
Aguardente de Cana de Santa Cruz
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got a sample of this one while buying some bottles. I think that this Madeira Agricole feels like something between French Agricole’s and the Rivers Antoine. The taste has also some similarities with the Jamaican white Overproof’s. By the way is the Agricole’s from Madeira the only ones outside the French Overseas Departments that’s widely recognized as true Agricole’s."

Top review from X-Savior:
"On The Rocks: On the nose there is a spice, fruit, citrus and oak mixture but does not present like a traditional Agricole. Taste reveals an initial slightly bitterness but it gives way momentarily to a much sweeter taste with an underlying spice and oak. Finish is medium length with a mild citrus and sweetness slowly fading away. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose there is a sweetness with underlying citrus. Taste is a bright sweetness with pleasant citrus notes. Finish is short with sweetness fading away. This is actually a reasonable mixer and can be enjoyed mixed as well."
Small Batch Rare Rums
Top review from Thunderbird:
"Johannes Blind-Tasting-Set Nr. 7: Der Rum benötigt Zeit im Glas…dann entfaltet er ein schönes Aroma mit Trockenfrüchten, Würze und Holz. Und alles im schönen ausgewogenen Wechselspiel.. Alkohol sehr gut eingebunden. Gelungener Sipper"
970 Reserva
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Tasted this rum with a good friend that bought it during a trip to Madeira which has a long tradition of making sugar and rum. The first Engenho (sugar mill) in Madeira is from 1452 and they produced sugar from sugar cane on the island until 1986. Rum from molasses has been distilled since the early 16th century and the first agricultural rum was produced in the mid 17th century. Nowadays there’s four distilleries on the island. The biggest one is Engenhos Do Norte. Established in 1927, and produces this brand among others. It’s distilled in Barbet copper columns whereafter it’s placed in French oak barrels for at least 6 years before blended, reduced and bottled. After what I’ve heard is it a very typical traditional Madeira rum."
Ilha da Madeira
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"This was a very and I mean a very nice surprise. I rarely sip white rums, but this one brought me over. A wonderfully balanced 3 year old white, which presents itself with a wonderful nose and a surprise to your palate. A nice warm finish with fruits, spice and a bit of flowers to it. Stays in your throat and nose for a long time after sipping. Definitely one I'd recommend rum lovers to try and sip. "
5 Casks Edition (24 Days Of Rum Advent Calendar 2023)
Top review from Timo Groeger:
"Like the previous rum, this one is also okay but just standard. It tastes slightly of vanilla and caramel, but only slightly. Otherwise it tends towards agricole. I like that kind of thing."
