Top review from Joël:
"I've been drinking it from time to time since I bought it, and I really like it. Reminds me of the Creol from Savanna with 67.2%. But this one is a little weaker in terms of alcohol content and a little less olive. Better for me, because I never really warmed to the other one and gave the bottle away at some point. I find it impressive how good it tastes for being only 2 years old. Who knows what Paranubes could do if they were/could be stored longer. The bottle suffered a bit on the way through Central America 😅 Unfortunately, they only have unaged and very young rums. But amazing how good they are, potential is definitely there. They said that they have something that has been lying for 3 years and should be lying for even longer. No idea when it will be bottled and whether it will then come to Europe. I visited the distillery's office/warehouse/bar directly in Oaxaca, Mexico. The distillery itself is in the mountains, unfortunately they don't want visitors there. I bought a bottle of Anejo RX15229 for the equivalent of about CHF 33."

"the 18 months in the barrel have taken some funk from the Paranubes but fortunately not too much. less herbal, less mezcal for more pear, honey, anise, chamomile and papaya on the nose and very round and pleasant. then in the taste baked honey banana with crispy bacon and some pecan, plus young wood and pears baked in maple syrup with salted peanut butter on brioche toast. very very tasty, brutally quaffable and mega exciting!!🤤💥🥂😍 I'd really like a bottle of this!!! Has what of an extremely good Anejo overproof tequila. Grandiose substance."

"This rum has turned my drinking behavior upside down. Before that, I drank wine almost exclusively. This daiquiri opened up a new world for me. "Wild fermentation, freshcut grass" was on the menu at Gone Away Bar (RIP😪).It's mostly the fermented, savory, salty vegetal flavors that set this Cane Juice rum apart from the French agricoles. The nose is marked by savory antipasti: olives, artichokes, hot peppers. In addition, grass and tobacco. Fruit is there too: gooseberry and lime, but quite a bit behind. In the daiquiri it becomes a bit fruitier and fresher. The savory notes, however, remain and you have to like them. I like them.In the mouth it is soft but still quite unusual: olives, olives, olives. Brine, ginger with green peppers. Also the often described mezcal note.In the finish more olive, artichokes and brine.Pure is honestly too crass for me, but in the daiquiri he is gigantic."

"Really tasty with pineapple, fresh passion fruit and lime and a little bacon, as well as smoked green poblano chilies! It cuts an incredibly good figure in a daiquiri. I think I like it a lot better than the "normal" paranube and it's a little less rough and smoky. For me an absolute bank in the daiquiri, as if you had added some mezcal. 🤤 I'm glad I bought a bottle! More than fair for 40€!"

Top review from Rowald Sweet Empire:
"I like this very much. Very agricole-y/sugar(cane)juice. Some Mezcal/tequila. Very pure. Grassy. But also seasalt caramel in the nose. Butterscotch. Milky sweet coffee. Typical. An upgrade to the unaged Paranubes I tasted before. Looking forward to what this distillery will bring."

"I would first describe it as a nice experiment. On its own, it is a broadening of the horizon, a new kind of flavor that I am not familiar with. A little bit of mescal and cinnamon, triggered by Mexico, is at the back of my mind. It's also drinkable in a daiquiri, but doesn't completely convince me here either. We'll have to wait and see if it becomes more accessible for me once it's been in the barrel for a few years."

""Nez très aromatique, en bouche complexe et atypique, terreux. Un peu de bois jeune également. En resume, mes notes de degutation : Au nez : Muscade, Toasté, Café En bouche : Chocolat noir, Boisé, Fumé, Terreux, Toasté""

"A surprising rum, tasted quickly. Vegetal, spicy, a nice sweetness and a rather smoky side to it. The smokiness bothers me a little. But I'm pleasantly surprised by the profile. I really wasn't expecting this. I'll be interested to try something a little older in the future."

"Hat auch eine leichte Süsse, geht in Richtung Karamell und dunkle Schokolade. Nach dem ersten Schluck dachte ich, ne das ist kein guter Rum aber dann hat sich der Geschmack im Gaumen entfaltet und er bekommt dadurch eine bessere Bewertung."

"This one is kind of bad. Not really an exciting entry from Mexico. In core this remind some of bad south american rums. This would be unspectacular. But this one's has the burn and taste of artificial sweetener. This really takes about 15 points off I would assume..."
