"einfach nur geil. Alkohol extrem gut eingebunden. Sherry spürbar aber nicht zu dominant. arrack gibt schön den Ton an und das ganze einfach nur extrem smooth und funky!🤤 als würde man gebratenen Speck in Schokolade und Rosinen mit orientalischen Gewürzen wälzen... Hammer. Insbesondere Safran, grüne Paprika, Rosenwasser, Mandarinenschale und Kardamom sind dominant je öfter ich ihn probiere. Bin froh ne 2. Flasche zu haben. Außergewöhnlicher Stoff!"

"Un rhum d’Indonésie assez spécial, dont la finition fait que le nez est ultra liquoreux et sucré, à la fois déroutant et écœurant à la longue. Fruits rouges et raisins se joignent aux festivités pour un concentré moelleux qui frôle l’overdose. Clairement pas le nez le plus attirant. Heureusement, le rhum se rattrape en bouche en voulant plus accessible et un peu plus docile sur les saveurs. Si on ressent toujours les marqueurs principaux (noix de coco, notes sucrées, fruits du verger), les épices, notamment la cannelle, et la touche d’alcool qui rappelle le vin et le bourbon donnent un peu d’ouverture au profil. La finale est assez longue, collante sur les dents, marquant durablement le palais de son empreinte sur le fruit, le caramel et l’alcool. Toutefois, c’est ce soupçon de boisé tannique sur le chocolat et le café qui fait la différence. Un rhum très spécial qui ne conviendra pas à tout le monde."

"Ganz anders wie der CDI Indonesia 10y. Intensiv & floral nach rotem Pfeffer, bitter säuerlicher Papaya, Ingwer, Kurkuma, rose & Zitronengras. Etwas lychee, etwas Birne, dazu intensive Noten nach vor allem grünem aber auch etwas rotem Paprika und Chili. Kurkuma Ingwer Tee bleibt im Abgang hängen zusammen mit einer leichten Säure. Nehmt euch für den hier Zeit und probiert lieber über 2 Tage weg. Bin sehr froh eine Flasche zu haben, jetzt Brauch ich nur noch den 10y alten nochmal🤣"

"Absolut solider mixing batavia arrack aus Bali. Vor Ort bekommt man die 1 Liter Flasche für ca. 30€ was mehr als fair ist. Hier wird er bald für 20€ UVP zu holen sein. Nur der Alkoholgehalt könnte etwas höher sein. Schöne süße obwohl nachgemessen ungezuckert."

"Revisiting after having the last drops in the 1st of 2 bottles that I have. It is a nice sipping rum but I have to take some points down. Nothing dramatic though. This is a matured version which sits 10 years in barrels made of white american oak. I have a sample of a ,,base,, naga java reserve that I will compare with this one. Smell of green apples and wood, lots of wood/oak which gave this rum it's sweetness. Overall a nice rum for neat sipping although it is shame that the finish is not very long, its rather short."

"It’s first aged for 3 years in teak barrels, then for 4 years in ex-Bourbon oak barrels and finally finished during one year in former Sherry barrels. Overall a little bit better than expected, but unfortunately a little bit too sweet for my taste. "

"Leider kein sonderlich guter Batavia arrack Vertreter. Sehr süß und gleichzeitig ist der Alkohol nicht wirklich gut eingebunden... Da gibt's deutlich bessere und generell fehlt hier sämtliche Batavia arrack dna. Wirkt künstlich und gesüßt."

"This is my first rum from Indonesia and they have done an OK job actually. This is a non pretentious rum with a very light nose and a non complex palate. The finish is a bit short with fruit and spices to it, mostly pepper and vanilla. The rum has no age stated on it but I'd say it's a younger rum based on the lightness. "

"This Indonesian rum is molasses based and distilled in pot stills. During the fermentation they use some red rice in the yeast. After distillation it’s aged in teak barrels before transported to the Netherlands where it’s transferred to oak barrels. The final blend consists of rum aged 8 months, 3, 5 and 8 years. The finish is medium long mostly depending on the alcohol content. I was expecting a lot more flavor of arrack and overall I think that everything is much too weak to catch my interest."
