Top review from Jakob:
"Thanks to the slightly increased alcohol content a little more exciting than the standard bottlings, without really being able to inspire. The aromatic spectrum remains narrowly limited to typical notes of the Spanish style, without setting a particular highlight. Can not really inspire me, unfortunately."

Top review from mto75:
"Needs a bit until it opens, but then blatantly spicy, I spontaneously old Madeiras come to mind, along with coffee, raisin and creme brulee. On the palate sweet and spicy. The rather high ABV is present but not disturbing. Sure, you have to like this style, but it just fits perfectly with the cigar (maybe it's also because Spaniards were the first companions to the cigar back then 😉). For me, a real top Spaniard!"

Top review from Tim :
"Compared to other Dictador rums, this single cask reminds me very much a Travellers rum from Belize. Great and round flavors that make a delicious Spanish rum. Dominant are the nutty, toasty and brown flavors and spices followed by faint fruit. Very mild in the mouth at 50%, which is why this rum would have definitely benefited from a little more power. Overall great rum, although the price is set a bit high."

Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"This weekends tasting offered some rare bottles from Dictador. Though I have a few of them on my shelves, all those offered were new to me. This is the third one. The initial sip leaves you with a feeling of something missing but as it settles in your throat you get the full experience. Coffee is kind of dominant all the way from the nose to the finish. "

"This weekends tasting offered some rare bottles from Dictador. Though I have a few of them on my shelves, all those offered were new to me. This is the fifth sampler. Co pared to some of the others this one is kind of thin and has very little complexity to it. "

"Had a very nice Dictador tasting this Sunday and this is the fourth one of the six. Another great surprise beating the Perpetual by one point. This rum is almost perfectly balanced in the spice and sweetness and a pretty complex one as well. Like pure silk when it passes down your throat. Price to quality is very good on this one as well. "

"This one was a huge disappointment. I have tried a few of the masters and they're usually pretty good, but his one is not up there. The price is definitely not matching the quality. The nose is complex and fruity with honey, wood and vanilla. The palate is sweet and woody with fruit and vanilla in the front followed by honey and chocolate. The finish is medium long with wood, vanilla, chocolate and raisins."

"Very nice reference for its very small price (36€/50cl), frankly great. Recommended by the Gargantua cellar in Paris I am pleasantly surprised by this Colombian rum which does not pay mine but which is super well made. Hats off! 💙🇨🇴"

"Had a very nice Dictador tasting this Sunday and this is the first third of the six. This was a really nice surprise. A much netter rum than I expected, a nice complex rum with a hint of vanilla in the back. Very well balanced and a delight. Sweet but not too sweet unless you like dry or Agricole style rums. Price to quality is very good. "

"This is a sweet rum, just a casual warning if you don't like sweet rums. I'd classify this as a dessert rum both because of sweetness and fruitiness. The nose is sweet and very fruity with some vanilla and wood. The palate is also sweet and fruity with vanilla, nuts and wood. The palate is oily almost sticky and it runs nice curtains down the glass. The finish is short to medium and also sweet and fruity with a hint of wood. Again very oily/sticky."

Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"Although the bottle is numbered, it does not deliver on the promises of a rum that makes an impression. It remains a pleasant, lighthearted rum to serve after dinner without the slightest pretense of tasting. A rum similar to Barcelo. In my opinion there is added sugar."

Top review from DosenZorn:
"Have bought this rum mainly because of the beautiful bottle. Actually a Red Flag, if you are looking for good taste, this one has surprised me relatively positively. Due to the only 40% somewhat watered down and thin and not too complex but a nice Feierabend Sipper at a good price. Definitely a great entry rum and superior to the many dead sugared competitors.Addendum: last drop is out of the bottle. Complex? Rather less. Good sipper? Definitely. A good unsweetened representative of the Spanish style. A little more power would have done it good. A >50% version would be nice. Still, great price/performance. Overall rating 2"

"Had a very nice Dictador tasting this Sunday and this is the second one of the six. This is the second time I have this rum in a tasting and this time it got a few more points. This rum is made from sugarcane and honey molasses, which is pretty rare. In this rum you can really smell and taste the honey. This is a must try if you like Zacapa rum because they're pretty similar. Price to quality is very good. This rum won gold at the 2010 International Rum Expert Panel. "

Top review from cigares :
"Un nez de raisins et de pâtisseries à la vanille. La bouche est très (trop ?) douce avec du toffee et comme du beurre. La finale est courte mais laisse un beau caramélisé avec comme des zestes d’orange. Une belle expression d’un rhum trop sucré à mon goût. J’aurais aimé sentir d’avantage les vraies saveurs de ce distillat. Le verre vide est très équilibré."

Top review from Jakob:
"Unfortunately, relatively pale in profile. I lack the really inspiring cornerstones that could provide some excitement on the nose and palate. Well-formulated straightforward and typical in profile, without striking out negatively or positively - for me, unfortunately, thus much too statementless."

"🤤🍌 mehr Banane geht nicht. Dennoch immer noch als Rum erkennbar, da die süße nur aus den getrockneten Bananen kommt. Für mich ein perfektes flüssiges Dessert und ein unglaublich leckerer easy sipper für jeden Tag. Tipp: Banana Boulevardier mit etwas Salz🤤"

Top review from Stefan Persson:
"The nose is nice, it’s easy to drink and a rather short finish goes the same way as at the palate. It’s very unclear where this rum is distilled, cause they don’t have any stills at the Hacienda Coloma so they are probably just aging, blending and bottling it. In the end of the aging they finish it in former Coloma Coffee Liqueur barrels."
