"I tried a few releases from Aldea and this one I like a lot, maybe because if the ABV. A fuller rum in the flavour profile than the regular releases from Aldea. I'd say that the fruits and caramel are light on the profile, but that's not a bad thing. I do like that you get wood and leather on the palate and that the Port cask finish is also present without being dominant. The price to quality is pretty OK."

"This one was also OK actually, but the price to quality maybe not optimal. Very light fruit in the profile as the previous one but drier on the palate. The Madeira Cask finish is there just very well hidden. The ABV has definitely lifted this one above normal Aldea releases."

"Dieser Rum ist holzig, erdig mit Vanille und Trockenfrüchten/Rotwein im Hintergrund. Weitere typische Agricole-Noten wie Leder und Schokolade finden sich auch. Im Mund eher scharf und bittere Noten, aber auch gleichzeitig etwas süß, was durch das Finish mit spanischem Rotwein erklären lässt. Der Rum hat mich nie so ganz überzeugt, wobei er der beste Rum der Destillerie Aldea ist. Preis ist etwas teuer, wenn man ihn nicht in Spanien einkauft."

"Die Nase dieses Agricole-Rums aus La Palma ist sehr rund mit leckeren Aromen. Dieser 20 Jahre alte Rum wurde weitere 2 Jahre in spanischen Rotweinfässern gelagert, was ihm gut tut, auch wenn es ihm eine deutliche Süße zufügt. Ein weiterer Schwachpunkt sind die 42% und der Preis ist eher hoch. Die 1994er Version ist nochmal würziger/schärfer, diese Version neigt stark zu Rotwein."

"Ein Agricole, der in Richtung eines XOs geht, wenn man ihn mit einem Agricole aus Martinique vergleichen würde. Viel trockene Aromen wie Trockenfrüchte, Holz, Leder, Tabak, etwas Schokolade. Erdige Noten sind auch dabei. Im Mund dann würzig und trocken. In Spanien für unter 40€ erhältlich, was damit ein guter Preis ist."

"Pretty Oaky rum. Finished on a boat on Armagnac/Moscatel and Portugese wine barrels for 7 months. Especially the oak comes through. More spice and wood than fruit strangely. Butterscotch/Mocha in the aftertaste. Not bad. Wish it had more abv%."
