"This one needed to rest a bit longer than the other two in order to release all its flavours. The nose has wood, rubber, vanilla and banana with leather and ginger trailing behind. I'm not sure if I get eucalyptus or menthol in there but there is a light note of one of them. The palate is intense, lightly dry and spicy with rubber wood and spices followed closely by banana and lovely caramel. The finish is very long and dry with wood, rubber and spices balanced by caramel."

"Edit Edit: The more I try it, the less enthusiastic I get about it. For me, the price is simply too high for what it does. Sorry. Edit Just tried it again with Buddudharma in the garden. A solid, very good blend, but for a higher rating I lack that certain something extra. Alcohol is well integrated. Not a bad first impression, but give it a little more time in the glass. But save my rating until I have sent the samples from the split. 😉 In my opinion, the Clarendon is very clearly recognizable"

"Noticeable alcoholic spiciness on the nose and quite restrained for Jamaican origin. Yellow fruits. I suspect that the proportion of (young?) Clarendon is comparatively high. The taste seems to confirm this: there are few Hampden-typical aromas and I am very reminded of the various Clarendon bottlings from Rest & Be Tankful. On the palate, the alcohol is no longer so noticeable. The finish is long and dominated by a fruity sweetness (yellow fruits again), light salty notes and a dry mouthfeel. All in all, not bad, but I think there are more exciting blends out there."
