"JMWP marque which I have not had before. On the nose some Jamaican funky notes but really rather muted, it’s hard to get much, some unintegrated alcohol, light banana and an almost sickly weight. With the mouth everything gets elevated to another level, green olive and brine, thyme, with roasted hazelnuts and salted taffy. It’s savoury, and rich with some soft bite that gets your tastebuds going. It’s certainly interesting but the olive and brine salt notes are just too much for me. If you are in the mood maybe, and would love to try and do something akin to a martini. The finish is medium long and again olive and salt forward with a more refined mango in the background. If you love a brine influence in your rum this is for you!"

"Perfectly Integrated esters with buttered spiced bananas and rose-water Turkish delight. Milk tea. Tea. Chai fudge. Salt Liquorice. walnut. Watermelon. Dry heap of grass. Silage. Wet pebbles. Bracken. Despite being a touch thin/light on the mouth-feel, the distillate flavour is very fat. Long finish with sweet, sour, spicy, bitter, astringent and at the end mineralic/chalky notes. Really classy and very (very) WP. It’s basically 15 years old. Cannot wait to see this spirit at 20+, as it feels like it probably ages very well. No more than a drop or 2 of water. Perfect strength. Medium / long finish of sweet tea with a bunch of grass. Drank alongside the 2010 ECS Foursq, which was blown out of the water by it in terms of complexity."

"At first a coconut, glue and solvent nose, then after 20 minutes of aeration, the nose is bewitching on a coconut vanilla tart. The palate is first alcoholic, then on an intense coconut with good length. It's a real pity that the alcohol wasn't integrated, otherwise we'd have reached new heights."
