"The nose is carried on earthy-herbaceous notes. And we find licorice and anise. But not only, we also find raisins, woody and leather. The nose is complex and interesting with the arrival of menthol-olive. It is fresh and rather promising. On the palate, it's complex and very intriguing. There are tropical fruits that soften this woody more present than in the nose. But that's not all, far from it, we have spices, vanilla and pollen as Al Mansoif would say! The finish is warm and rather dry on the aniseed woody."

"Once again more oily than the sister bottling at 62%. Elegant, syrupy heaviness in the profile, which get a great counterpart by the fruit notes. The complexity is also right - the mentioned tropical fruits meet wood, spices, heavy sweetness and even discreet fresh tea and grass notes. Overall, high school that Wild Parrot has offered here."

"A Barbados rum bottled by The Wild Parrot that's surprisingly light. There's not the slightest hint of aggressiveness either on the nose or on the palate. The nose is reserved, but one recognizes sweet spices, chocolate, some fruit (dried fruit in particular) and sweet, pastry-like flavors. The attack on the palate is very timid, with flavors struggling to break free. The same flavors quickly fade, and despite the 51.2 degrees, there's a sensation of dilution that spoils the gustatory pleasure. The finish is also relatively short and unmemorable. Unfortunately, this rum is too timid, too far behind other vintages from Barbados or Wild Parrot, and cannot compete with today's standards, except in terms of price, which here is totally excessive."
