Top review from cigares :
"A rum tasted at the WLP. Aromatic depth with a balance between machine shop and fruit on the nose. I spend a good while sniffing this rum, a very good sign for what's to come... An initial taste of unpeated whisky, followed by notes of Caroni and fruit. The whisky is still present on the finish. As much as I found the nose inspiring, I'm a little disappointed by the rather pronounced whisky aromas on the palate. However, this is a top-class distillate, no doubt about it. Edit - Reading other tasters' comments, I wonder if there wasn't a little contamination in my glass."

Top review from Jakob:
"Probably from the Versailles still given the flavor profile, which stands out both aromatically and in color from the more intense MEC/MEV/...-Marques from the same vintage by the rather fresh notes. Nice sipping rum with a pleasant depth, but not on par with the best Versailles."

"A rum tasted at the WLP. The nose is powerful but balanced, pastry-like and appealing. The palate starts off very well, but retracts rather quickly, the aromas narrow and the finish is disappointingly short and not very sapid."

"This Hampden is not bad, but for me it is an absolute disappointment! Smells and tastes like a Hampden light. It fails to deliver, especially on the palate and in the finish. The alcohol is poorly integrated."
