Signature Blend #2
Top review from TheRhumhoe:
"A Blend combining Jamaican funkiness and Guyana sweetness. The nose is dominated by the Jamaican influence of tropical fruits and solvents, with some notes of freshness and spices. In contrast, Guyana takes over on the palate with its chocolate, spice and caramel notes. The finish is more smoky and toasted, but unfortunately too short. A Blend that lacks a bit of balance, power and complexity but with an interesting quality/price ratio."

Top review from Maxime Clr 🇫🇷:
"Very nice reference for its very small price (36€/50cl), frankly great. Recommended by the Gargantua cellar in Paris I am pleasantly surprised by this Colombian rum which does not pay mine but which is super well made. Hats off! 💙🇨🇴"

Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Unmistakably a superb Hampden. Alcohol well integrated. Very fruity nose typical notes of pineapple 'papaya ' banana and ne fat portion of ester. On the palate similar initially a short sweetness but within seconds is slain by the ester ... the mouth space fills out schööön fruity with some time in the mouth also comes a slight bitterness and wood notes to it. I like very well even if he does not reach my personal reference (Flensburg JMC2007) he comes very close. Great mixer in May Tai 🤗"

Top review from HenryL:
"Pleasant smell, for me dominates a fresh note paired with wood and some fruit. An incredible mouthfeel, super soft and pleasantly oily. Fruity notes are in the foreground in the taste, out the back comes some menthol to it.The nose is good, the taste the hammer!"
Signature Blend #1
Top review from zabo:
"Bought purely as a blender test object to broaden my horizons. Definitely a great blend outside my range. When pure, both base materials come into their own and have a harmonious effect. Unfortunately, just a little too thin. In a daiquiri it also cuts a very good figure for me, but even there it lacks a little oomph, which is due to the low ABV. For me, however, it's a great daiquiri mixer for afternoons on the terrace, as you don't really shoot yourself out with it. The easy sipper daiquiri, so to speak. And for less than 30€ it's also very reasonably priced"

Top review from MarcT:
"First Tasting of this bottle (will update this review later with more details) in the new home, surrounded by boxes and the general disarray after moving in. 60 percent approval only? This is not the best Demerara I've tasted, but it does not deserve a rating this low... The first Impression had been mixed, onwards to session three. This rum really needs to breathe in order to bring its flavors, and then does something surprising: besides strong woody notes, being very dry and herbal impressions one gets also some funk and esters, that are quite unexpected. Unfortunately the alcohol has quite a bite and thus reduces the overall score quite a bit. Had the integration alcohol and wood been a bit better this would be quite good, but it is not and thus only 76 points."

"An 18-year-old Demerara for around 60€ is already a small price sensation. They say it is a Versailles vintage 2001/2002 and that would also be my impression. A Versailles of the light variety: Warm, spicy and very harmonious - unfortunately also a bit thin and not overly complex. A nice everyday rum for a super price!"

"Thanks to Lukasdrinkinghabits for the varied split. I like the rum very much, the alcohol is well integrated and the taste is very balanced. A comparison with the other batches is still pending."

"Franconian Tasting Gang on 02.03.24 I have been lurking around this rum for some time and have considered offering it as an underdog split because of its good ratings. For the price it is really a P/L rocket."
Bottled for Kirsch Whisky
Top review from Robert Bauer:
"Nose What..wait a moment! Mentholated chocolate, parsley, thyme, essential oils, Axe Deo, some glue and melted butter. This ain't no petrol can, but a hybrid of Angostura (the good ones), Damoiseau and some drops of Caroni 1996 Guyana stock. Plus the most herbal Caroni nose we've had in the glass so far. Definitely not one of the Dirty Trinidad section, which could disappoint some of the bicycle tube hardliners, but we on the other hand highly welcome it. After some time a very slight dirtiness arises, but not of rubber, more like farmy Islay peat, Bowmore style. No complaints Sir, we appreciate that bouquet. With water: Some sour cherries just popped in. Palate Delicate and creamy cherry sweetness meets new bicycle rubber. There it is! But not unpleasant. Add carob and filter coffee. Add After Eight Chocolate. Add cherries. Add amaretto and a few dashes of thyme oil. Throw a new eraser into the juice. Stirr. Ready is the heavy bodied, magic potion. It's a bit sharp though. With water: Getting perceptibly thinner. Better skip that water. Finish Medium long for a Caroni, but long enough for a continental one. The black cherries clearly set the agenda."
TDL Fernandes FPH
Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"Difficult. Artificial on the nose (at least on mine), on the palate it could also be a whisky (and I'm really not a fan of that). TDL DNA almost imperceptible. I don't really warm to the rum. Update 30 minutes later, because I still had some in my glass: Wow, it's clearly improving towards TDL! I wouldn't have expected that. 3 points more."

"29.03.2022 Sampling a bit at home. Notes Light in colour. Nose Fresh, light, light floral, plum, light orange, faint leather, spice. Palate Light oily, fresh, round, light wood, faint smoke, plum, faint cherry, spice, medium spicy. Finish Long and warm, light wood, spicy, dried fruit, faint chocolate."

Top review from cigares :
"Fruit takes center stage with sour apple, pineapple and acerola, backed by tar, rubber and machine oil. There's harmony and coherence on the palate. The aromas of the nose are present, and I sense a touch more chocolate. The finish is slightly acidic, which is a shame. It's long and all the aromas finish beautifully, with a wax-like perfume at the very end and in the empty glass, where smokiness and woodiness also appear, rather discreetly on the palate."

Top review from Decky Hicks Doughty:
"The nose has heaps of eucalyptus throat sweets, raisins and cut up cubes of melon. There's also background notes of oak and some rubber mixed with a dash of barnyard funkiness. The palate reminds me of a plum brandy with lots of spice, oak and vanilla influence from it's cask. A touch of water wakes up red wine tannins. The finish is pretty long. Bit hits of sweetened tea and oak, warming and sweet. Would make a nice dram for during or after a meal. It feels very Australian with its eucalyptus and red wine notes and I like it. Possibly just a little to sharp in areas."
Collection New Vibrations ICBU
Top review from zabo:
"Die erste Nase fand ich trotz des niedrigen ABV sehr alkoholisch und stechenden. Mit der Zeit legt es sich etwas. Die Farbe ist sehr hell und geschmacklich für mich definitiv erkennbar das er wohl kaum bis gar keine tropische Reifung erhalten hat. Als Fazit nicht wirklich schlecht, aber auch kein Bringer. Insgesamt wirkt er etwas dünn. Ein Sipper für einen lauen Sommerabend."
Epris Distillery (AERB Futebol Clube)
Top review from Thunderbird:
"I find the nose extremely weak. I perceive light herbal and spicy aromas, as well as some hidden vanilla. The rum is somewhat more present on the palate. It is light and smooth, with a slight sweetness at the beginning, followed by cinnamon spices, some fruit and wood. That fits. The finish is on the woody, herbal side. A passable bottling"
Versailles Still KFM
Top review from DomM:
"The bottle definitely needed some time to breath/settle in/how ever you want to call it. Still the KFM profile is quite different from other Versailles (especially at this comparably young age) with more fresh notes ie green apple and pear on the nose. Compared to the 2002 TCRL KFM, this one feels more dark and dominated by wood notes. Also I tend to prefer the fruitnotes in this one, leaning more towards red/dried fruits in my mind. Both surprisingly so, as the TBRC is two years younger and bottled at significantly lower ABV."

Top review from Decky Hicks Doughty:
"A great example of cask strength Jamaican rum that can stand up to a little water, if you're not ready for anything that robust. I also tried it mixed with Coke. Glad I did. One of the best rum & Cokes I've ever tasted. Really brought out the Jamaican funk. Batch 1 - Bottle 162 of 426"
Diamond Distillery (Savalle Still) SVL
Top review from lukasdrinkinghabits:
"This SVL mark continues to cause question marks in my taste memory. Joshua (1423) said male it's not a DDL Mark, but what style does it represent? The nose is light and pleasing. Coffee, chocolate, roasted caramel. Raisins, a hint of tobacco. A dark, but almost Spanish style. In the mouth it is very sweet for an unsweetened rum. Chocolate pudding with caramel sauce, also a good portion of red marmalade. Still a very smooth and rather light rum. Nevertheless, the impression is not super flat or boring. An easy sipper that is perhaps a little too easy. Overall, surprisingly little wood or bitterness and the tannins it brings. The finish is short and unspectacular, but also without any off notes."

Top review from Jakob:
"Classic notes - oak, vanilla, caramel sweetness. Unfortunately, on the palate with a little too present alcohol and quite spicy. Can not convince completely and would therefore not be the first choice among the Foursquare bottlings."
Barbados
Top review from Rowald Sweet Empire:
"A very thick FS. Pretty woody and loads of (dried) red fruits/dates/figs/raisin. Pretty much like a sherry matured spirit. You must love that kind of woodiness. In this case it works well. A very chewable dram."
HTR
Top review from cigares :
"A nice nose with tropical fruits, very ripe banana, cinnamon and a well integrated metallic side. The metallic side takes over in the mouth and it's a bit disturbing, but the fruits are also there. The finish is long and rather nice but when the fruits go away there is still the metallic side.A good rum, but not a Caroni I would recommend, there are so many magical ones.To be tasted again with some oxidation, sometimes miracles happen."
Port Mourant Still MPM
Top review from zabo:
"Für den Preis kann man diesen schon mal mit nehmen, kein Überrum, aber für die Leistung was er bring in der Preiskategorie war er die Nummer 1 im Vergleich zu den zwei anderen Underdogs im Split. Leider doch nicht so gut gewesen, wie er anfangs bewertet wurde."
