Top review from Oliver:
"My REV reference! 🤓Suspenseful lavender notes on the nose. The typical prune note is rather subtle. Great roastiness that goes in the direction of coffee. Then intense and creamy on the palate. Dry with just the right amount of bitterness. Those who like black tea will love this profile. The finish brings back memories of Guiness. By the rather more restrained plum (compared to other REV bottlings) this bottling fully meets my taste! Rightly so, the RumX community has chosen this rum as "Best Rum 2022"."

"RumX Awards 2023 and re-tasted 6 months later. Despite its age, the esters are very present without dominating. Buttery, nicely acidic, lemony, overripe banana, grilled bacon and yellow fruit make up a nose that remains balanced despite its complexity. The attack is lively and explosive, with fat (butter) tempering the fire and fruit filling the mouth. Yellow fruit (pear and apple) and young wood. The finish is long, elegant and fresh. No flaws here, everything is clean and precise. The wood is perfectly integrated. The fruit remains right to the end. In the empty glass, you discover an unprecedented sweetness, with the wood clearly perceptible. The favorite rum of this top RumX selection."

Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 31 (Navy Blend Rum...
Top review from Jakob:
"Definitely not a straightforward Navy blend. Impressive complexity, much Jamaican influence, the high age is clearly recognizable. Mint, eucalyptus, tropical fruits, wood, spices...impressive! As a lover of complex rums, I feel perfectly picked up here. Definitely not a standard Navyrum because the heavy Guyana notes are almost entirely underrepresented, but that doesn't change the fact that this is an exquisite release. Chapeau!"

Rumclub Private Selection Special Release for KaDeWe Berlin...
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"What a wonderful and rare set of drops to enjoy. Beautiful dark colour with long and steady curtains in the glass. Fruity with lots of roasted wood without it being too dominant in near perfect harmony with chocolate and very light caramel. Extremely good ABV integration and you barely feel the alcohol."

Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 10 Don Pancho Origenes...
Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Heute Nochmals probiert....

"This was my contribution to the tasting and once we cracked open the bottle the flavours started spreading. Fruity with roasted wood and very good ABV integration. I really like the floral note and warm/spicy touch to the palate. Price to quality is very good in my mind."

Top review from DomM:
"Nose is very nice and intense. Lots of fruits and funk to begin with. After some time to breath, spices and some smokiness shows up. Very enjoyable yet demanding given the high ester level. High intensity on the palate as well: lots of fruits and ester notes. A bit of sweetness to balance the overall profile. Still quite lively while the cask took off the harshest edges."

Top review from RumTaTa:
"What a beautiful Belize rum! Very powerful, intense, lovely nose with grated coconut, vanilla and dried fruit. Reminds me very much of a good Foursquare rum. Convincing on the palate again: I find all the aromas of the nose again. The alcohol makes quite a lot of steam. Better with water! The aftertaste tends to be slightly toasty. I can say without thinking twice: this is the best Belize I've had in my glass so far. I particularly recommend this rum to those who have previously enjoyed Spanish-style rums and generally as an introduction to rums at cask strength and for experimenting with the addition of water. The price-performance ratio is hard to beat!"

Top review from RumTaTa:
"Tasting in parallel with the Nobilis RX12424. The nose brings typical Guyana REV notes. First and foremost, dried dark fruits, oak, toasted aromas, burnt sugar and malt. The Nobilis seems a tad more intense. On the palate, the roasted notes increase again and dominated the first impression. Gradually, the other components shine through and create a balanced picture. The finish is the most interesting for me because wonderfully spiced plum jam and raisins appear here. Bitterness is also there but within reason. This is the kind of rum I like to enjoy in winter in front of the fireplace. This rum is confusingly similar to the aforementioned Nobilis possibly the alcohol is better integrated in the Rum Club Ed 39."

"Richtig schöner Agricole Single Cask. Extrem rund und komplex. Tolle Fass Auswahl!! Definitiv einer der besten "neueren" depaz single casks bis dato. Lässt sich sehr entspannt trinken und ist überraschend süffig."

"I have The Duchess in my glass alongside the new Rumclub Ten Cane from 2008. My first impression is that the two rums form the poles of the spectrum of the 2008 Vintage's profile. The Duchess is super dark in the glass, bringing a deep berry flavor and dark spices. The Rumclub is much lighter - a few shades lighter in color. Aromatically, this Ten Cane is closer to some TDLs: peach, almond, ginger. There are also similarities, but I find it difficult to describe them - most likely in the woodiness, the spiciness - a rather opposing Trinidad style? The differences outweigh the differences for me. I would always consider the Rumclub to be a TDL - I even find the characteristic mint. But the agricole notes of the Duchess are missing. I'm not sure if I'm completely off the mark here, but this smells like a TDL. I can't get off this horse: Peach mint iced tea in the mouth. The finish is long, smooth and full of peach menthol. Well ok, I think it's clear what I'm trying to say. At the end of this review, I no longer believe that these are two poles of a vintage, but two completely different distilleries. The rum is still very tasty. Roughly on a par with the 2009 TDLs. I poured myself an old sample of an RdL Ten Canes and the new 2008 Swell TDL. The similarities to the TDL are very great here, the differences to the RdL Ten Cane not so pronounced. This calls for a second round, preferably blind."

"Comparatively closed up on the nose. Rather wood forwards on the nose as well as on the palate which reduces the liveliness of the profile somewhat. Enjoyable bottling with all the right 2000s TDL markers, just not my favorite out of the bunch."

"Wow, this is really fun. Plenty of power in the nose and on the palate - without being too strenuous. There's a pleasant fruit brandy/grappa note on the palate that I've never had in a rum before. Exciting bottling!"

Top review from Dr.Django:
"The description is just like the rum's taste: short and crisp. Great stuff! The cask here takes a considerable part of the rum in a love-hate relationship and lets it go again to be funky. A bit like the Song of Ice and Fire. If you like the young Jamaica S.B.S bottlings, you'll love this one! It's simply fun! Thanks for the sample @Alex_K"

Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"The Ed. 39 from the Rumclub, a 2006 REV (RX16863), is already a very successful bottling, but RX16863 is no match for the Rumclub's new stroke of genius, especially on the palate. It is rounder, more complex, deeper, fuller-bodied, stronger, more palatable, sweeter, oilier. And I'm not saying that because I live in Berlin and am therefore close to the source. See for yourself. This is supposed to be a 2008 Diamond? It really seems to me that the barrel was mixed up and a REV was sent to Spirit of Rum instead of the Diamond. And not a 2006 REV, but actually a 1994. Can that really be the case? I hope there will soon be a comment function here, then I could read your direct reactions. For me, this is a hot contender for rum of the year without hesitation. Drink it and you'll agree with me. If it is a Diamond after all, which I hope will be verified by tasting experts, it seems to me to be most similar to the MDXC profile from 2004 (RX7442). Or perhaps the 96 (RX10043, RX10046)? 🤔 I'll stick with REV 1994 for now. 😉 Exciting!"

Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Chocolate, nuts, slightly coconut. Somehow also something slightly floral and menthol. Slight spiciness on the palate .... nice sweetness. Here again these floral notes ... as well as chocolate and nuts. All in all, a good Belize with hardly any recognition value ... which doesn't make it any worse, just not really different from the others."
