"Belle masterclass au Trou à Rhum d'Arras. Nez : bois jeunes, coco, canelle, caramel, noix. Bouche : canelle, épices douces, ultra doux au global c'est fin Finale : courte et plus intense, avec un twist que je n'ai pas réussi a identifier. Remarques : nez intrigant, bouche équilibrée, finale un peu décevante, dommage il manquait pas grand chose !"

"Dès l'ouverture de la bouteille on sent la gourmandise, pâte d'amande enrobée de chocolat puis le caramel, le boisé est là mais discret. Un chocolat noir enrobe des zestes d'orange après quelques minutes d'ouverture. En bouche l'attaque est douce sur le caramel et le chocolat,les épices viennent relever le tout, les agrumes sont toujours présents mais cette fois le citron jaune est à l'honneur. Un léger côté tannique pas désagréable apporte une légère amertume Finale moyennement longue sur le caramel et le zeste de citron. Agréablement surpris par cette bouteille sans prétention, un rhum assez doux mais très intéressant."

"I really like the candied fruit and banana nose, with some sweet spices mingling with the woodiness. There's even a hint of solvent after opening. On the palate, it's a spice-driven rum with some tropical fruit. The finish is medium-bodied, with a hint of licorice mingling with the spices. It's pleasant, but for a Trinidad I expected better."

"This is a cheap Caroni and a brilliant example that you get what you pay for. All the typical Caroni notes of rubber and tar are missing. This is not a bad rum, but in my mind not a Caroni. The nose is thin with light wood, vanilla and some nuts. The is a light roasted note with dried fruit and a faint earthy note. The palate is diluted/thin withe lightly roasted wood, dried fruit, vanilla and a hint of cocoa. Tha finish is medium with light roasted wood, vanilla and raisins. Price to quality is pretty good but it's not a Caroni :-)"

"19.12.2020 Nice tasting shortly before Christmas in a private area of the bar. Unfortunately this very old bar closed down in 2023. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, leather, workshop, spice, light fruit, cherry. Palate Light, light wood, cherry, light caramel, nutmeg, light floral. Finish Short to medium, light wood, naturally sweet, dried fruit, light, spice."

"A spicy and fresh floral nose... Let's not delay... Hop in the mouth...A light but well served Panama. A nice presence of wood. The Bourbon barrel is there and softens the whole. It does it... A good medium finish with tropical fruit aromas. If you can find it, don't hesitate... A must have."
