"I think they are simply delicious. Especially the buttery and beautiful yogurt-cherry flavor is amazing. Reminiscent of a yogurt ice cream with Amarena cherries. One of my Hampden favorites even though it's continental. Basically different but also really good. Super bottling!!!"

Nichts anderes hätte ich von einem 94er New Yarmouth erwartet. Es ist einfach immer noch mein Lieblingsprofil. Muss sich hinter seinen Konkurrenten nicht verstecken. Ein großes Crosstesting muss noch erfolgen. Edit: nachdem ich ihn länger stehen hatte, ist im Geschmack super die Milchschokolade erkennbar, die sich cremig, geschmedig am Gaumen legt. Einfach nur lecker! Nach oben deswegen korriegiert."

"Amazing how fruity this rum is especially on the nose considering it is 20 years old. Fully ripe melon, juicy cherry, banana and some burnt rubber, dark chocolate on the nose but no trace of wood. Taste then subtly woody , chocolaty, cherry but still fruity and oily fresh after tobacco and menthol as well as various citrus peels and some chocolate. Very complex Bellevue, could only be a little less bitter for my taste. Nevertheless, definitely one of the best Bellevue I had so far in the glass."

"Cross-tasting from the Kill Devil, Milano Festival and TRC anniversary. All three need a lot of time in the glass to develop their aromas. The Kill Devil is more on the dark side. Barrel and wood aromas are clearly present, but not unpleasant. They are not overpowering. All three also have very well integrated alcohol. For me, the Milano is my favorite. The TRC and Kill Devil are almost on a par"

"21.02.2020 A small private event where we borrowed the basement bar area for a private tasting and also had a go at their food. Notes. Light in colour. Nose Intense, wood, fruity, overripe, ester, polish, faint coffee. Palate Oily, wood, fruity, pineapple, varnish, anise, ester. Finish Long and warm, wood, fruity, ester, light chocolate."

"Often Fiji rum reminds me of Jamaican. Here, rather the other way around. The smoky and peppery barrel notes made it remind me of a South Pacific. Relaxed Hampden. Of the tasted three 01 vintages for me the best."

"This rum perfumes the room when poured. Cedar wood (cigar box) dominates the nose, but bergamot and prunes are not far off. A real taste of roast completes this atypical nose. The palate is initially almost entirely woody (cedar), with some prune and dried fruit remaining and a roasted base, like cooled roast fat on the finish. Astonishing! The finish is long and citrus reappears at the very end. Phew! The empty glass is complex and much more balanced than the mouth. A highly aromatic and far from uninteresting rum, but too dominated by a too monolithic expression of wood for my taste."

"A very nice WP and at a very affordable price at release. Fruity with nice wood and spices. I really like the caramel hiding in the profile. The ABV has been well integrated. Needs to rest for a good while before it settles. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the nose is wonderful in the empty glass."

"#8th dec RumXCalendar Blind tasting: Nose: fresh, woody, various fruits, fruity, after some time i found some hints of rubber and a dominant smell of marzipan Palate: rubber, fruity, barrel, oak, nutty, licorice Finish: medium, toasted, oak Very lovely rum 🤤I enjoyed this one a lot. The Alcohol is integrated very well. My Prediction: Jamaica Clarendon Approx. 60% Approx. 10 years of aging"

"Nose: Roasted, dark notes are very dominat. Significantly different from the TBRC Fernandes. Palate: same again. Dark and roasted notes, some sweetness. Reminds me nothing of TDL but rather of a South/Middle American Spanish style rum. Again: very different compared to the TBCR."

"Serge writes in a great review: "Nose: get out of here! Brand new Pirellis, two tons of rubber bands, and your sister's bicycle inner tubes. You see the idea...Mouth (neat): Ardbeg matured in a new scuba diving suit. Plus salt and lemon. The question is, do we enjoy this much rubber?" My answer a year ago: No, I found it undrinkable! In the meantime, the profile is a prime example of acquired taste. Compared to the 2005 PMs, it really is much dirtier: acetone, rubber, a hint of smoke - behind it the typical pome fruit and fresh sourdough bread. The aniseed note of the 2005s is missing. In the mouth, Serge hits the nail on the head: rubber, brine and a hint of lemon. My answer today: yes. Or to say it with Serge: "There's bad rubber and there's good rubber. This is good rubber.""

"Tasted against the legendary Navy called Tiger Shark (RX183) to find out if 100 EUR price difference is justified. Answer: They are. The Kill Devil is a strange rum. Seems more like a pimped, sticky herbal liqueur on dope. Where have the Jamaica ingredients gone? If the rum wasn't just Guyana and Jamaica, but - like the Tiger Shark - it might have been halfway exciting. Not so, of course. At least the alcohol is well integrated."
