"What a pleasant and intense experience! This rum is crisp, bold, and surprising with each sip. It is light in both color and wood notes, considering it’s been in the cask for 19 years, but if you’re looking for funky rums, this is it! This rum brings lots of fruit, funk, and there’s everything you would expect from a high ester rum of this caliber."

"Really good 2007 C<>H.Beautiful fruit esters .... nice buttery acidity ... Annas, papaya, mango banana green apple and a hint of marzipan. In the finish comes through some wood and light roasted aromas .Pleases me well."

"I love these high ABV releases from Kill Devil because they usually hit the mark. From opening the bottle you get the fruity ester notes and as the poured rum "cures" in the glass the flavours can be picked up from the other side of the table. I love the oily texture and the nice roasted woody notes that blend very well with the fruit and spice notes."

"25.09.2021 A friendly tasting with friends and colleagues. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, medium intense, wood, light roasted, light tea, plum, light citrus. Palate Medium intense, oily, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, plum, light nutts, pineapple, faint smoke. Finish Medium to long, oily, wood, faint smoke, light caramel, prunes, light nutts."

"29.01.2022 The big Caroni tasting with old rum buddies, good food, snacks and a lot of talking about old times. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, tar, workshop, dried fruit, light leather. Palate Warm, wood, light roasted, tar, light rubber, fruits, leather, cherry. Finish Medium to long, wood, light tar and rubber, cherry, faint chocolate."
