RumX Advent Calendar 2022: It's back!
Last year we launched the first RumX Advent calendar. There was such a great feedback from the participants that it quickly seemed obvious: An annual advent calendar organized by the community has to become a new RumX tradition!
Therefore, the moderator team of the RumX community already met in May to plan a new advent calendar, which even aims to exceed the high standards of its predecessor. We are very proud to announce that the final line-up is in place, the batching of the samples is just starting and the sale of the new calendar will start on 10/14/2022 at 9pm in the community forum.
What's so special about the RumX Advent Calendar?
Unlike well-known commercial advent calendars, the RumX calendar is organized, produced and distributed by selected RumX community members on a voluntary basis. So to say, it's a project by the community for the community without any intention of profit. All bottles are sold at the buyers' purchase prices and thus we can offer an outstanding quality at an unbeatable price. For a commercial calendar with this range of rums, we would have to ask for about 2-3 times the price.
An additional special feature is the blind tasting aspect. The participants receive no information in advance about which rums are included. Every day a thread is activated in the RumX forum in which the participants describe their impressions, give guess tips and have fun discussions about which rum it could be. At 9 p.m. each evening, the rum is then revealed. So guessing fun is guaranteed!
Are you still curious and want to know what to expect? Well, we'll share a few key facts with you: The average rating of the community is over 8.5/10 points. These are primarily single cask releases and the average ABV is over 58%. To reflect the great diversity of the rum world we have selected rums from 12 different countries.
The Rum Advent Calendar contains 24 samples a 2cl (+ 2 bonus for the two Christmas holidays) and will be available to the RumX community at cost price of 190€ (plus shipping) in a first come first served approach. Since it was not possible to organize a second bottle for some rums, the number of participants is again strictly limited to 34 members.
